I thought they were $4M apart

at $10M apart, the deal is not getting done. I got no problem letting him play the season out and seeing what he does personally. better than overpaying him now.

And then we lose him because some team throws him the max.

Taj got signed other different circumstances.

Taj was a 27 year old 6th man that came off a season putting up 8/5 and signed his deal before the new TV deal which will make the cap jump a lot in 2 years.

Taj's deal is a steal. Setting that as the max we can sign other players to is a mistake.

If we're only gonna offer Jimmy 7M we might as well do his farewell tour this year because he's not gonna be with us next year.

Everybody expecting us to wipe the floor with the cavs. I think they offense too good to expect that. Lebron will have a better game and Jimmy not there to slow him down. Then kyrie might torture brooks again. So it depends on our rotations and our offense stepping up, and our bench doing work. Then getting stops down the stretch cause I think cleveland might struggle with closing games for awhile.

Taj is a 29 year old 6th man who signed his contract 2 years ago jimmy is a 25 year old sg who is an elite defender who plays 40+ mins a game he's worth 10+ a year especially on this particular bulls team who has no viable replacements at all.
