Detroit posters, what do you think of all this shyt going down in the nation?

To stick with the subject, we have the most potential to make a difference cause of our population, but that potential is affected by the fact that we have an extremely high percentage of dumb ass reckless ass non thinking ass nikkas and bytches who live for the moment and don't give a fukk about the future. Its a black hole over our city that has to be addressed, it literally seems like a curse here. What makes this worse is the fact that we do have a lot of smart nikkas with leadership abilities, but all these nikkas end up chasing money in the street cause ITS SO fukkIN EASY TO MAKE 100,000+, if you are an intelligent nikka with a good mouthpiece, you are going to look at the streets before life gives you a chance to find anything.

My whole fukkin hood is indicted and either doing or about to do fed time with all these pill indictments throughout America, I can name 30 nikkas off the top of my head who made it to 100-300,000$ and either ended up getting caught or getting killed. The streets gets the smart nikkas first, and that shyt needs to change for real or all we gone be left with is these reckless nikkas who don't give a fukk about their life or their freedom. Its fukked up breh's

Hell yeah bro. If you have listened to any of the Team Eastside nikkas you may hear them saying RIP Flav and RIP Ennis, I grew up with both of these nikkas. They were both 2 years younger than me and im 28, both of them nikkas were killed off of random robberies within 2 months of each other (so they say) both were shot up in their Range Rovers, one at the Coney on Chalmers and Harper and the other on Haverhill and Warren. Both of these nikkas were smart as fukk in school, but once Warren nikkas started putting this shyt that had the whole hood stacking easily off the Oxy's, they took that route. Both of these nikkas were either 23 or 24 when they were killed, both them nikkas left over 300,000 cash either tied up in work or stashed with fam.

Its fukked up cause both of these nikkas were the type of dudes who were loved and could get some positive shyt poppin if that was an option that was needed. But as you said, its hard to tell nikkas that's doing better than doctors to change their lifestyle up and do something different smh.

East Warren from Connor to Cadeiux lol, I live on Devonshire though. The brick houses that's still standing over there are still great properties, especially going towards Cadeiux, streets like Harvard, Yorkshire, Bishop ect are still in great condition. Its not great down by my block, but they are definitely tearing down ALL the abandons around there. shyt is getting torn down at a record pace and I know that's part of the plan they have for the future. Im sure they gone start building new cribs in no time, that's why I refuse to sell my shyt.

Aint it crazy how down by Gratiot after passing St Fair from like Edmore to Collingham the blocks are completely different from the streets prior to that. I would def get a crib on those blocks, but nothing on the blocks before that. Its like a bomb hit all the streets before Edmore lmao. Its a lot of old people down there on them last few blocks before 8 mile, that's probably the reason.

Yeah its kinda crazy if you think about it... all the nikkas thats just killed n forgot about. My best friend, had all three of his brothers killed.. and we don't even really talk about them nikkas because so many other people get shot ... plus we stay away now. We out that hood shyt now.. but stuff goes on.
And randomly westside nikkas try to make moves.. its a messed up mentality,, I remember not wanting any Westside nikka to get money, lol or even those freedom apt midtown, northend, nobody.. repin eastside hard which really is some fake shyt cuz I got hit in the neck, lol... by a east side dude.

Its messed up because some brehs do well go to college, leave, etc... and others can't get jobs n shyt. So why not push pills n shyt and blow it at sommerset.. plus now all the bullshyt like crack heroin call itself makin a come back I guess. I thought all that was dead.

Anyway, the focus shouldn't even be on these nikkas. the lil ones in my hood already seem lost. One is 17 and can only leave the house two days a week. So the focus should be on kids under 13. Technology and financial training.

They gonna rebuild gratiot from downtown out... most of those apts are already going from hood to luxury. I think all black people need to keep their homes.

unfortunately i dont know if alot would go down. the ayiana jones thing should have really been our thing to express our grievances as a community. i think we got too many lost brothers right now but i see a couple of sisters holding it down. at this point we got more hipsters and people from livonia and grosse point moving in with more love for detroit and doing more down there than people born there. i dont know how much opportunity is left down there but we need more brehs buyin up stuff so they can make their mark when the city starts poppin again in a few years

And we have a history anyway... I don't believe there are more powerful riots than detroit 1943 and Detroit 1967. During the civil war cacs in NYC had a larger riot and of course LA riots 1992 were larger, but both Detroit riots are the most powerful in us history. Even though I feel riots should be more organized... and shouldn't attack black people or black businesses, at all.

i think the current protests need more organization but more importantly need a younger voice. MLK and X were young when they were leading. we have sharpton and jackson who are old and not even really taken seriously by their peers or the youth. the key for really making progress imho isnt violence (cause if you want to be serious we are a minority we not winning no numbers battle) but trying to make our way through politics and the like, even though i know that isnt a popular opinion on the coli. to start off we just need a strong, young leader to get people together. a voice for people to listen to from our generation. i think detroit is the kind of city that can produce that voice, so we will see

bro I've lived in Detroit before near Sinai Grace Hospital. The overall mentality is one of apathy and lethargy. There is absolutely no accountability to those who continually exploit and hold the community hostage. Preacher pimps can set up shop on every corner and stand right next to broken and vacant housing. Criminals aka Dope Boys are highly celebrated and regarded as heros. And don't let me get started on the Arabs. The Arabs are running circles around you negroes like its nobody's business. Liquor store, gas stations, coney islands, convenience stores, auto shops...etc. I really do not see how a people who make up more than 80% of the population are economically dominated by such a small group of people and the same time be absolutely content with it! And to top it off your politicians (the one's they've repeatedly voted for) are completely corrupt. Detroiters are responsible for their own lot. They've been given the cards they have dealt and now they must reap the consequences.
The city is changing, especially downtown and soon the blacks will be pushed further into the outskirts as a permanent underclass. And they have no one to blame but themselves. Detroit could've been a beacon for black unity and prosperity. But now it is widely known for its poverty and despair. Had blacks supported their own businesses, voted in politicians with integrity, and invested in their own communities instead of going across 8 mile to spend their money, the city wouldn't be in such bad shape.

I honestly don't see how any black man in Detroit can hold their heads up with dignity. They've failed the very same community they were suppose to protect.
