Now that I'm old I see exactly what the old folks were saying about us when we were teens.
At 14 I was doing all the same shyt I was doing as an adult. Getting fukced up, chasing tail, and even working. I stayed out until the wee hours most nights with the homies just walking through every hood in walking distance. Fighting. Shots ringing out (I never owned a gun and I was more of a peacemaker, but my niqqas were budding hustlers and some were berzerk).
I almost can't believe the shyt I been through. And I was on the milder side of the hood antics.
Teenage me was not following any rules but elder me understands completely

Yea they would have citizens helping to patrol. They changed it to Angels night and all that ended

What if they’re just walking home from a house party. At 17 it wasn’t every night but especially on the weekends it wouldn’t be crazy to be out past 11 at your peoples house if they live close or at a party
I kind of agree with this policy. Kids shouldn’t be out past eleven anyway.
Moms use to call me by 8:00 if I wasn’t close to the house. Parents need to be better as well:

Not only should there be a curfew, the city and state should not have to depend on law enforcement physically being there to police a sector or district.

- Mandate a city, state, or national ID for any citizen over the age of 12.
- Install CCTV cameras. Cover every square inch of public space.
- Use facial recognition software to quickly track and identify criminals.
- Punish parents for their children's crimes.

We could end crime in Philadelphia by Halloween if we really wanted to. These are desire outcomes.
We don't have the stomach or political will to actually address these issues is all.

What if they homeless and the shelter got no room? They got a reason to stop anybody that is young now. Imagine being 18-20 walking to the store and getting pulled over 
Philly needs a serious intervention or exorcism..

I agree with that. They said ages 16-17 have to be in by 11 though. I’m not saying they should do away with it but I hope they use some discernment. They shouldn’t harass 16-17 year olds just walking home or hanging out in front of their own house during the summer. It’s also because the pandemic crime surge made a lot cities move to much more sensible crime enforcement policies instead of listening to criminal justice warriors that disregard victims and prioritize criminals
