Haven't played the games fully, I do have the latest one on PS5 waiting in my backlog.

Watched the 1st episode to get a feel. A lot of exposition to set up the story, but thought the animation was pretty good and some funny moments throughout. Definitely plan to finish the series. Hoon Lee from Warrior/Banshee, voicing the White Rabbit stood out for me.

I’ll give it a high 6 to low 7/10.the usual suspects are already mad about the commentary lol.
Pros

• The action was good
• The fan service was dope
• OST gave me early 2000s amv vibes lol
• The White Rabbit was a decent villain
• I actually liked the main crew even though they were generic af.

Cons

• Lady was cool but I didn’t like how edgy they wrote her dialogue.
• Didn’t like the 3D rendering of some characters.

I'm not finished it yet but all the Lady scenes been funny af. Every time she opens her mouth it's "fukk this" and "fukk that" it's so unserious.


Like she was always kinda aggressive but they went over board with it.

Arius can’t be revealed while Lucia was just some “devil hunter”
Lady is more frustrating here then in the games
Her personality is pretty trash
Yeah I should’ve known Rabbit was a red herring
They played that well with the blue amulet in his collar and Enzo misdirect when he said devils can project into the real world
Definitely thought that was Vergil or V first until buddy talked to him in Neo form
He should’ve never been able to keep up with Dante but I see how this is a mesh of DMC 3 and DMC 1
Different way to tell his origin story
I did like the Easter eggs by Capcom even down to the Captain Commando ass suits

Nice to see a studio actually paying fan service while doing their own take on source material because god knows that DMC anime of yesteryear was straight trash
