I don't think they consider "falling to the ground during a catch" a football move.

Falling to the ground while attempting to make a catch nullifies the "football move"

I think its obvious dude had possession:comeon:...the ONLY reason he switched hands was because he got tripped by the packer players leg and was trying to brace his fall and still be able to stretch for the touch down.

But fukk em, they had no mercy for Detroit last week:lolbron:.

Man fukk that. Catch all day. Dude extended to break the plane, but held back a little last minute so the ball wouldn't pop out.

This shyt ruined the game even though I wanted Dallas to lose
maybe he should have held back a little more and this thread would be all about Aaron Rodgers coming back for a game winning TD and not about this "catch"

Got greedy??? :what:

With all that momentum he's just suppose to fall to ground being a few yards from the end zone....

Foh!!

If that same play is at the 50 yd line he doesn't extend to get extra yardage, he just makes the catch and secures the ball.

But because the play was close to the end zone he tried to squeeze out that extra lil yard for a score. He didn't have to extend is what I'm saying. Instead of just making the catch for a 1st down, he took a risk and extended for the end zone.

Possession rules are different when you're falling to the ground in the process of making the catch. You basically got to get up without the ball hitting the ground and hand it to the Ref.

Some of y'all need to understand the bold.

Which is why I asked was their contact when both Dez and Shields were in the air. If so, these are basically the same plays.
It wouldn't be the same because Dez had already established possession in the NY game

He caught the ball before he reached for the goal line and established himself as a runner. The two plays are nowhere near the same

How exactly did he establish himself as a runner? Is he not 'stumbling' forward in the same fashion as yesterday's play?

Him going to the ground on this play was caused by the defender tackling him.

That's competely irrelevant. Y'all making up nuances now. :heh:

If you're being tackled whilst making the catch you DEFINITELY need to maintain possession throughout
