The problem is the rule. He caught the ball in the packer game, took two steps and then was falling to the ground. It wouldn't be the same because Dez had already established possession in the NY game

How exactly did he establish himself as a runner? Is he not 'stumbling' forward in the same fashion as yesterday's play?

what that makes no sense.Him going to the ground on this play was caused by the defender tackling him.
how long you been this corny of a poster? i dont remember you being this way on sohh.

Bryant never left his feet in that vine
Possession rules are different when you're falling to the ground in the process of making the catch. You basically got to get up without the ball hitting the ground and hand it to the Ref.
Some of y'all need to understand the bold.
?I guess the fact I don't consider him "falling down" is where we cant agree...That's the difference between this catch and Megatrons,Megatron was falling down without contact....you cant call a player "falling down" if they wouldn't have fallin without the help of the defender imo.I'm just trying to show the differences in these plays within the rule of possession during a catch and while going to the ground. That's competely irrelevant. Y'all making up nuances now.
If you're being tackled whilst making the catch you DEFINITELY need to maintain possession throughout

your shyt talking is weak and corny. i was very conservative going into this game, check my comments in the season thread. i said the GB game was much more of a challenge than Seattle. we match up better with them. at the end of the day my squad overachieved this year and yall won on a crooked call from the refs. if you think i'm losing sleep over this, you're crazy. but congrats and enjoy the asswhooping next week.how long u been mad and delusional of a poster? I dont remember u much on SOHH
:MVP:
i see u cant take shyt talking so keep it moving chump. U nikkas was talking all week how u gonna beat SEA like GB was nothing. Look at ya'll now
i aint even acting half as bad as i should though. I should be upping them delusional ass quotes prior to the game

Calvin Johnson catch was more of a TD/Catch than this obvious incomplete pass y'all are bytching about. He lost the ball on his way to getting "UP" off the ground not falling to the ground.
As a Cowboys fan, yeah we got the screw job from a dumb rule interpreted against our favour, but I'm not mad because, well, we benefitted from an obscenely bad call against the Lions last week. Things tend to even out in life. It's not the end of the world. We may be an even better team next year. Missing Doug Free and Rolando Mcclain (sp?) was a big blow as well. But that's sports.

Well he wasn't going to the ground while trying to make the catch, him going to the ground was caused by the defender tackling him after he established possession.what that makes no sense.
If that same play is at the 50 yd line he doesn't extend to get extra yardage, he just makes the catch and secures the ball.
But because the play was close to the end zone he tried to squeeze out that extra lil yard for a score. He didn't have to extend is what I'm saying. Instead of just making the catch for a 1st down, he took a risk and extended for the end zone.
the defender made contact with dez yesterday too.Well he wasn't going to the ground while trying to make the catch, him going to the ground was caused by the defender tackling him after he established possession.
