I have no idea but dj premier had an interesting story about how biggie did the "unbelievable" song in one take mad late on in the morning.

That could've been a freestyle moment

Word? :ohhh:

What makes you think that? And I doubt it.

You don't freestyle stuff like this. It's got storytelling too and multiple characters (voices).

Well, cause it's well known Biggie did a lot of his songs off the top of his dome.
But yeah, Gimmie The Look is probably a song he wrote down at some point, even if he freestyle a few lines before writing it down.

I'm no big expert nor a fan. But I don't think bolded it's true

Big is known for the fact that he wrote songs in his head.

Ah gotcha. I find it hard to believe a rapper like Biggie would want to do studio album songs off the top of the dome though. Even the best freestylers can't really put together cohesive verses and do storytelling off the top. If you're trying to make a classic song, you want to construct that thing, from the lyrics to the beat. Make the two fit together.

Now if the question is, has Biggie stepped into the booth and one taked some songs? I'd believe that, his talent was insane.

Naw as people around him noted.
He would just sit by himself reciting lines over and over again til he got a song.
The one thing that convinced me of this was I got a story to tell .after the song is finished they basically redo it as someone would have spoke it and it matches up pretty good.
I'm sure during the process on the first album he was doing his own thing

I know he wrote for The What w/ Method Man cause Method said he saw him writing
But what about the other joints?

It been documented that most of the album he wrote on paper, then like the last couple of songs was when he began to transfer to memorization without pen or paper.
