This guy basically says yes, and will cause Africans to distance themselves even more from us. He has an African background, but raised in the states, so I think he makes a good point

I don't think so. if anything I think it helped depict our (justified) rage/PTSD.

If you look at Killmonger as "the african - american", T'Chanka as "the chief who sold his people to the white man" and T'Challa as "the modern educated sub-saharan african" then its easy to see the friction...

Of course, T'Challa would be dismissive, angry and flippant towards Erik initially. He should be able to stand on his own two. But where T'Challa differs from modern, successful African's is that he realized that the actions of his lineage have DIRECTLY lead to the creation of a person like Killmonger. If anything I think it should really be a reason to open the dialogue...

African-Americans are the children Wakanda never brought home...

it is to late for that...thats why the Hoteps were telling everybody to relax...this movie is about to become a cultural phenomenon among Black Americans for sure
This is true, it's just a movie but most Black people get their historical from entertainment and that will never change.

Most Black people aren't on what thecoli is on and never have been.

Black Americans have been demonized for hundreds of years, doubtful a movie that was released this weekend would do it.....

Get mad at BP, but give Love and Hip Hop, Black Ink Crew, Housewives, and reality c00nery TV a pass folks...

The movie was African-Americans Vs. Africans

thats what it was

the BET Cartoon was straight up Black Man vs White supremacy lol, and they held nothing back

Black Panther doesn't kill one white person in this movie

No think about what a Black Panther is

Its an oxymoron, a Panther by definition is black, its a cat with melanin
if a lion is born black it would be a panther

Look at B Jordan's suit

He is a Leopard, a black leopard, but leopard, he's not fully melaninated,
gorgeous-black-leopard.jpg

This is a black leopard, its a panther because you can still see its spots

wallpaper-of-a-big-black-panther.jpg

Same animal, but the panther is truly black

Michael B Jordan basically a light skin nikka when he wears his suit lmao

Killmonger was right, but what made him a villain is, he was a puppet of white supremacy

he was trained by the white man to be a killer, they programmed him he was indoctrinated, that's why he burned the garden of the herb, because thats the shyt crackers do when take over somehwere, Agent Ross even says this himself, that they trained him to do that, he was just following his training

these jews are locked into the minds of black people, the tell our stories to control the narrative, also because nikkaz are just ignorant to anything about themselves, but want to make fun of hotep nikkaz

killmonger had some real jewels, but they had to add in that other aspects to make him a villain to code the message, can't be openly against white supremacy and expect a movie to come up

You're calling people stupid fakkits over a fictional character's diabolical plans smh.... You on your period right now?
so many stupid fakkits when it comes to this movie, killmonger was not a hero. he would've ended up getting all ya'lls black asses killed up within a year. if he had a plan that would strike simultaneously at all the major powers of the world and cripple them beyond retribution, then he would have been talkin about something. as it is, he was just going to agitate and unite the entire earth against wakanda, and then wakanda and most of africa would have been destroyed. we all want to see black people on top, but you can't just latch onto any dumbass idea that has you lashing out without thinking the shyt through. for a best of the best soldier, his strategic thinking sucked, but it is a movie and it has to be written that way so the good guys will win.

except the movie didn't paint black liberation as villainous. it showed how a power hungry villain, killmonger, prepared his whole life to settle a personal score and reshape the world as he saw fit. this dumbass tweet wants us to believe killmonger was the film version of frederick douglas or marcus garvey. :mjlol:

it also completely ignores that there were wakandan operatives, like nakia - lupita's character, fighting for real liberation and trying to convince/coerce wakandan leadership out of their non-interventionist world stance.

it's a movie with a shytload of black excellence. but always some annoying people on social media trying to get a rep or steal shine by being a contrarian or pushing something negative. :aicmon:

"it showed how a power hungry villain, killmonger, prepared his whole life to settle a personal score and reshape the world as he saw fit."

Isn't that what every leader from every successful land had to do? From Africa, Americas to Asia or even Europe...

Some of you love to play blind and dumb, i am serious. If you go read into history, you will know that what we call "GREAT group actions", are born from individual actions. Corrupted and immoral individuals...

In the 15th century, Pope Nicholas V, authorized the Portuguese to get into the slave trade with Africans. So that the Portuguese would bring more slaves to them. The Ottomans had been raiding them for years. So, being cruel as fukk, Pope Nicholas V saw, that it was better for the Ottomans to have Africans, instead of his own people

The Portuguese previously knew the Mali Empire, and were defeated by the Malians. So, they kept going down, down and looking for more. ALSO, in one of those voyages, but looking for India, they were able to discover Americas.

Pope Nicholas was everything that you described. Hungry for power, and prepared his whole life to destroy the Ottoman Empire. Notice, that when he gave the authorization, for the Portuguese to bring African slaves, many of his followers were not okay. Because humans and religious people, were not supposed to do that...Let's think about it now, was that beneficial to his people? Was that the best decision for his people? YESSSSSSS.

From the mind of a cruel person, multiple empires were born, they were able to unite the majority of Europeans, under one shield, the white shield.

AND well, let's just say, that 4 centuries later, whites are the group with most influence and resources in the world. Because of the individual actions of a villain...

Explain how blacks identifying with the protagonist is rooting against their own interest. I’ll say it again, the lesson of the movie was that ultimately killmonger was right and the wakandans were wrong.

exactly! If it wasn't for him T'Challa never wpildve realized it
