Sounds good but wakandans don't bring people home like that... It ain't like the surrounding regions in Africa we're eating off that wakandan tech. They were hiding while the world went to shyt

Side bar

In the comic lupita character ends up becoming a stalker.

Storm better be careful. :whoo:

Next movie should be the ultimate action heavy black love story with bp and storm :noah:

Anyways from the comics BP seemed to understood Black oppression more.

This is my whole fukking point. Why couldn't the movie based on this? Why did have to be black vs black? No way they would produce it. It makes white people look bad. But it's ok for black people to look bad at all times. Very disappointing.

Black Americans have been demonized for hundreds of years, doubtful a movie that was released this weekend would do it.....

Get mad at BP, but give Love and Hip Hop, Black Ink Crew, Housewives, and reality c00nery TV a pass folks...

Yeah anybody watching this BS should STFU for real. I can't name one person off those reality shows. No fukking way I'm watching that trash. But it's a hit though. Anything that has negative connotations towards blacks is always a hit.

Imagine if the story line of BP was of him destroying KKK and White Militia plans. I bet it wouldn't be as big a hit, because for one most white people at going to watch that. Black dude whipping white people's asses? shyt wake me up whenever a movie like that makes it to the big screen and is a major hit. I guess you could say Django but he had white help to offset it.

Bad Boys II with Martin and Will had it, but it was framed in a comedic way, so the impact wasn't as powerful. Outside of that, no, I can't think of anything else such as that.

no shade, but i'm starting to think the reason why some posters refuse to look past their  for killmonger is because they are too weak or lack the discipline or resolve to be him (minus the unapologetic murder of his own people), so they project their fantasies onto a character as an avatar of some of their desires

there is no reason to be so nonobjective about a movie character ... who most of us are a big fan of, especially if you are of african descent, even more so if you are in the united states

you can agree with his overall ideology about challenging white supremacy while still acknowledging his flaws and personal rationalization of his acts

edit: also, regarding the tweets in OP ... anyone that is familiar with ryan coogler's background and past work is crazy if they think he would purposely tell a story without his people's interest in mind, its an interesting perspective tho

The sequel, this movie was clearly an intro.

Wakanda not helping other blacks world wide is bad but at the same time its interesting. Wakanda is not the perfect nation for all black people and its not trying to be everything for every type black person. They're strictly into Wakanda and Wakandians. In real life and lot of African countries have horrible government and internal economic and tribal problems. Wakana has a rich and narcissists vibe and Killmonger called them out on it. I just think it helps story and plot wise for now into the future that they're not fully into the ideal of saving the black race as a whole. At the end they started to feel like yeah we should be doing more for the expats. Sometimes you're not really aware of the shyt you're doing until somebody calls you out on it and then it dawns on you all of a sudden.

exactly what I said, you can respect killmonger and his idea's while at the same time realizing that he's insane.
