You know so much? Answer me this... What percentage of touring goes to the label and boutique if the artist signs a 360 deal? What percentage goes to the booking agency? What percent goes the agent? How does a record advance even work? Do they just hand you a check? What is a typical artist advance now and how much of said advance is the artist responsible for paying back? How much goes to taxes? How does album delivery work? When is an album considered finished in the eyes of the law/label? Whats a first right of refusal? Who owns the master recording when your on a boutique label? What is a master? How about publishing can you tell me about that? Who owns a new artist publishing in most cases? In this case who owned Pill publishing? Was it Warner? MMG? Ross? Batman?

I can tell YOU all these things... fukk out my face... not everybody knows how boutique labels work. Not everybody knows how the industry works. Dumb ass nikkas still think a tax write off is a real thing and dudes get locked up for a buzz. Maybe someone needs to be educated to the game. Last time i checked, we came on here to discuss the music game. What ive learned can be beneficial to someone out there. Some nikkas on here are just dweebs thats disgruntled with they own life or delusional. Its a few real heads up here. tho... so salute to them. nikkas like u tho, i couldnt kick it with u on no level in real life.

Also Pill was dope and i feel for that brother. I heard he was lying about his background, so who knows what else he got himself into with his mouth lying and shyt i dunno. But musically he was dope.

I'm telling you that Derek was his manager before he got signed to MMG, not Killer Mike. I'm giving you the fact that they ran in some of the same circles and there was an early affiliation with GrindTime so there was a legit association, but Killer Mike was NOT managing him.

I cant speak on the managing part, but (gangsta) pill was definitely a part of grind time from 03-08/09. I've also read interviews where killer mike explained his frustration of not being able to get him or sl Jones to blow. Not saying he was managing him, but it was more than "early affiliation".
