I can read doesn't mean I read the whole post. But still Rondo wouldn't thrive on the Rockets whole rely heavily on the 3pt shot. Why do you think Morey didn't trade for Rondo in the offseason and earlier in the season before the Mavs? Plus for Rondo to be most effective he needs the ball in his hands much like the leader of the Rockets James Harden.

It would not be a good fit and as I've mentioned alot I'm glad the Rockets didn't trade for Rondo.

Rondo can easily drive and kick like he did with the Celtics...especially because Houston has a bunch of shooters. He would actually set up the Rockets' shooters in perfect positions for them to shoot/score.

How is disrupting Harden, 4 points on 50% shooting, and an assist, in under 10 minutes "playing poorly" and bench-worthy? Rondo and Aminu were the only ones who showed up in the game.
He was visibly showing no effort on defense, and that disgusting 8 second call :heh:

It's 2015 and people still feel the need to defend Rondo :snoop:

Dirk > Monta

And nice deflection from my main point. :mjlol:

Yes, Dirk is better than Monta.
No, Dirk is not the first option.

Your main point was that one of the best offenses in the league should retool their offense mid-season to accommodate a ball dominant pg with a broke jumper who shoots 45% from the line.:patrice:

Harden already does that. AND you don't even have to guard Rondo on the perimeter. The good teams would just sag off of him and dare him to shoot.

He needs guys like KG and pierce to motivate him properly.
Dirk is too nice, Monta has his own stuff and the Chandlers don't have enough clout

Plus just plain basketball-wise, since he can't shoot it's hard to find the right team for him the way the league is nowadays. Pace and Space

Those Boston squads had good offenses I dont give a fukk what a stat says. Rondo led those boys and got everyone their touches in their desired spots. I mean you're talking about Pierce, KG, Allen...
3 players with vastly different games. RONDO made a system out of that good enough to win a ring and contend for years.

Every available metric that has shown team offenses shows that the Celtics were a subpar offense but an elite defense. As the Big 3 got older, they're ability to produce offense when needed suffered and they started.

The Celtics were a gritty team like the Grizzlies that had a "meh offense" but an "offensive weapon" that could score in those 4th quarters.

Show me some stat or proof that agrees with the "Celtics" having a good offense when it was Rondo led. Why is it that good offenses get worse when Rondo is involved like in Dallas. Why did the Celtics get w much better offense when 5'9 Thomas got involved and made for better spacing for everyone else?

Rondo made that championship offense in 2008 as much as Chalmers made it for the Heat. His job was to defend and pass but his horrible offensive game is the fukkin reason Boston couldn't repeat.

On paper, Rondo + Dirk, Parsons, and Ellis is a sexy lineup. Rondo could succeed with those guys but Carlisle's stubborn as hell and wouldn't tailor the system to Rondo's strengths. Hell, he wouldn't even trust him to call the plays. I believe this failure lies at Carlisle's feet. At least Doc Rivers was able to let Rondo do his thing.

And keep in mind, Rondo's arrival triggered improvement for the Mavs in every notable defensive category.

Let Rondo call plays.

2010 - 18th best offense
2011 - 27th ranked offense
2012 - 24th ranked offense

LMAO Dallas was the best offense in the league before Rondo came around.

Teams constantly disrespect Rondo and give him a cushion so big that he might as well be Ben Wallace lmao.

You're bringing up defensive stats but realizing that ALL OF Rondo's offensive stats are subpar. ALL OF THEM.

Nice deflection. :mjlol:

He's still their main offensive threat...

Ellis and Dirk are there main offensive threat and Ellis was the one handling the bulk of the offensive duties because Dirk is old but still has an elite off ball effect.

The Mavs focused on primarily ball movement and the fact that they had a ton of scoring versatility among their wings and Dirk. Rondo has no scoring versatility

Naw. Because Rondo is not a threat, defenders won't collapse on the paint and stay on their man. Thats whats happening in Dallas right now. Rondo is a bum. He offers no positives at this stage of his career
