Did the UFC solve streaming piracy?

vpn won't do shyt. Every customer has a unique id. So they can hide IP address but cannot hide their UFC account they are streaming the video from. Once the unique id is identified the stream is instantly cut off.

lmao this was the big anti piracy announcement dana was hyping up? this kinda watermarking is pretty easy to reverse engineer. pirates from "the scene" have been up on it for years but ion think the jokers who run streaming piracy sites are. i'm surprised they didn't go with audio watermarking, that's a lot harder to get rid of.

and this is only gonna work on pirate streams/caps which are sourced from ppv/legal streams. it doesn't do shyt for free tv broadcasts of ufc like how europe has. the main scene group that's been doing ufc releases uses euro feeds.

UFC isn't free in europe. I don't see how a broadcaster/streamer can reverse engineer. They are only receiving a feed, they cannot pinpoint where the unique id is going to flash on the screen, it is random. So the id will be exposed... unless they have another method to block out the id?

to be viewed in the first place, and it will remain up on the internet whether I watch it or not so I might as well watch it

Considering how large boxing/big UFC fight audiences are, they could probably make bank off of ad revenue. I don't get it.
