Nerds will simply develop an open-sourced “cleansing” software that searches for and blocks out the barcode.

Receive incoming stream, run through “cleansing” software, rebroadcast with barcodes pixelated/blacked out. There would be a delay of course, but with a good rig shyt would be minimal...

As a software developer it seems like this would be easy to circumvent:
1. Identify frames with the ID.
2. Remove them.
3. Stream the others.

1 isn't even that hard. OCR is pretty advanced already. If you bolster it with some refined AI to catch distorted/rotated characters it's game over.


Facts. Which makes me wonder...why did he announce this??? :mindblown:


He should’ve just implemented it and killed the streams and let the pirates try to guess how to defeat it. There’s literally no upside to announcing this
