Did we declare K.Dots TPAB a "Pro Black" album or was it assigned for us?

"Black publications"

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

"black perspective"
:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

Did we put emphasis on "Black Perspective" when Soulja Boy released an album?
:mjlol:

Oh so Dead End Hip Hop, VerySmartBrothas.com aren't black owned and operated?

And yes, the subject matter in TPAB is not only synonymous with black people, so when it is touched on you're hearing it from a black males perspective.

Definitely a white people tryna tell black people what's good type of situation.

Think catered food. White folk love that shyt. We be like where is the seasoning.

That's my thing wit bol, where is the seasoning.
This.

And another thing, I don't like how the mainstream media, liberal media ie white media is trying to assign what is pro-black and taking it away from black people. Anything that is truly pro-black and supports the development of black economies, governments, and institutions simply is not allowed, this is why society makes it so anything pro-black is anti-white, anti-american, anti-government, anti-police, etc.

As long as black people are fighting for inclusion in already established institutions and industries owned by whites, that will be tolerated.

In turn, I really don't see what's so pro-black about TPAB or Formation...basically it's the tumblr SJW form of pro-black that's easily digestible cause it doesn't actively encourage going at the system but keeps it going cause it profits from it.

People on here need to understand these publications and media aren't speaking to us, their speaking to the white majority, that's why I don't fukk with TV or Movies, shyt is bizarro world. In that world, anti-blackness is the norm and there's no emphasis on race cause everyone's white and it only matters when non-whites enter the room.

The more and more you see the world for what it is, you'll see the vast eurocentric slant of society and how it resonates in it's views of black people period.

Being Black in essence is not the same as making a "Pro Black Album". Labeling TPAB "pro black" is just cornballs excuse for something they dont understand since they arent Black thus they treat it as it must be some type of novelty thing. To label something "Pro" something it has to be something creating with the purpose of giving a specific message thus it can be "Pro" something because it is "Promoting" the message. TPAB is literally an album made by a Black guy giving life from his perspective. You cant necessarily say something is "Pro" something when its literally just you reflecting on life events. Its like saying House Party is a Pro Black movie when it is just a movie that takes a snapshot at the lives of black youth in a specific situation.

So an album that is a collection of jazz, funk, spoken word, gospel, and hip hop while discussing subject matter such as

-Economic slavery
-The "pimping" of black culture/talent by white America
-Police brutality
-Reconnecting with Africa
-Colorism
-Black violence/gangs
-Peer pressure
-Self love
etc

is NOT a pro-black album, and is instead some bullshyt white people told black people to like? Never mind that the most seminal reviews of the album have come from black critics. Never mind that Alright is being chanted at protests every other month.

So tired of you try hard motherfukkers. If you don't like the album fine, that's your prerogative. But don't denigrate the black brother for putting out a mainstream album that speaks about nearly every important issue that was highlighted over the last couple years.
:scust:

Wonder what you corny motherfukkers would have said about Public Enemy touring stadiums with lily white fans everywhere.

Speaking on things that MAKE UP THE BLACK EXPERIENCE is NOT the same as CREATING A "PRO BLACK" ALBUM.

The Term "Pro Black" is literally from the concept of Black Nationalism, TPAB IS NOT AN ALBUM PROMOTING A BLACK NATIONALIST MESSAGE.

If I make a song talking about Gang Violence from the views of my eyes living in my community THAT IS NOT ME MAKING A PRO BLACK SONG. To Say something so idiotic would then make case for saying someone like Childish Gambino makes "pro black" music because he raps about Suburban life and is black.

People dont even know what "Pro Black" Means. No wonder you idiots throw around the term C0on and "CAC" so freely on this site.

The semantics are truly amazing. "Pro black" is not simply a black nationalist message. Being pro-black also means being self conscious, having a sense of the political and social status of your race and where it should be going (from your perspective). It is NOT just focused on economics. What's Going On by Marvin Gaye is a pro-black song. Livin For The City by Stevie Wonder is a pro-black song. Neither of which focus on nationalism.

Being pro black is in many ways a part of black pride.

Who really out here saying it's a pro black album tho?:why:

This ain't no Public Enemy type shyt, but it is a accurate depiction of a young black man in America in the 2010's

people are definitely referring to it as a pro-black album

and because of the lack of albums coming out on the same scale as kendrick's tackling some of the same issues, its seen as THE Pro-Black album for the millenials

cats are just playing dumb now.

Or most of these cats are the Tumblr lames crowning this a "Pro Black" Album. Its like calling NWA albums Pro Black. The Albums are created to give a view of life form the eyes of the artist or someone in the environment the Aritist is creating. Dudes is trying to play Semantics and play dumb now with "Pro Black". Dudes know Exactly what Pro Black Means, playing this dumb role one can say "Pro White means being Proud of your Culture :troll:"

I'll go further: can a non-vocal song be pro black according to your limited descriptions lmao? I just want to get all on record that Charlie Bird and Miles Davis didn't make pro black music.
