the industry is responsible for dumbing rap down when it flooded the airwaves with crunk & snap music and told us that atlanta was on top of the rap world because of it.

and then you had dudes like kanye west getting nominated(and possibly winning) lyricist of the year. a guy that juelz santana can rap circles around in his sleep.
