lmao always liked this song cause of the beat and video
yea.
its like imagine the reaction that a wu-nerd would give if somebody said that wutang wasnt lyrical, and they used ol dirty b*stard as their prime example.
then they start googling up names and come back saying that poppa wu is wack.
this is what killed hip-hop.
he didnt need a suburban single. just give that bul some promotion.
this is also one of the reasons why dipset was so popular. they didnt go hit-chasin', even tho they had the ability to do that. they were literally like that last glimmer of hope for hip-hop. dudes that had IT but still kept it authentic.
jones & juelz sold out later on, and they havnt made any noise since.
How can u tell who im familiar with based off two posts breh? Shiest Bubz and all them affiliated off brand nikkas was damn near the same if not worse... C/D level. And i never said grown brehs aint fukk with it... Them 40/50 year olds jus might be wht i consider grown knuckleheads
you dont know what youre talking about.
people in their 40s - now in their 50s were f*kin with dipset HARD. its nothing generational about it.
novelty is not the correct word at all, but i see what youre trying to say.
and youre still wrong. the only "novelties"(by your definition) in dipset that were full-fledge rappers were juelz & jones.
i dont see how you can be a stan of a clique when it seems that youre only familiar with the front-men.
nobody who loved that era of dipset ever wants to admits this but them nikkas was simple as a bytch with them lyrics
it's kinda funny too, because cam can rap when he wants too but he's always settled for "style" and less
but them them nikkas was ass on the mic. production got them over
That nikka Cam dumbed his shyt down so much when that Dipset movement took over. His Confessions Of Fire days though
Then this nikka decided he wanted to rhyme everything with now and later, laffy taffys and gators![]()

Btw... I fux wit Shiest... I just call a spade a spade
Actually the production was also very overrated too. They overdid the sped up samples and shyt to the point where they played that style out where nyc sound got lost and died.
The fukk? The dipset was a part of the reason why rap is in the state that it is in today. The early 2000 era was the downfall. They really took it down to a level where it opened the flood gates for simple rappers over medicore beats to come in and do nothing.

@stomachlines is a high quality poster. So he doesn't like Dip Set, not a huge knock on someone's hip hop head level
I hated dipset back in the day lol....I did become a cam fan later thoThe only folks that loved him around that time were young females simply because they thought he was cute. He was always a joke.
I remember seeing this shyt back in the day when this song came out and folks were calling me a hater. It's funny how back then it was a big risk to even criticize anything out that had a buzz. Only for some time later when the buzz dies out, people start to admit that whatever was hyped up was garbage. A lot of folks can't keep it real.
