Big Poppa-Corny,Hypnotize-Corny,Juicy-Classic with help of sample,Biggie One More Chance-Classic,Mo Money Mo Problems-A Puffy Song.

Kendrick has "bytch Don't Kill My Vibe"-Classic,Alright-classic,L.O.V.E-classic,Swimming Pools-classic

I see where Puffy is going with this,I think Biggie is the much better all around emcee. Kendrick has proven to be the better artist and technical lyricist, with much more substance, and deeper content. Kendrick is beyond Biggie in terms of levels of importance and impact on the culture. The man is changing lives and creating a positive influence,Biggie didn't create life changing music,at least nothing positive, and probably nothing demonic even.

You fukkin tweaking thinkin Kendrick technical skills are some earth shattering shyt.

Kendrick is average at best

You could make Movies out of BIG songs. Can't say much about Kendrick.

Compare Kendrick first two to biggies

He don't come close

@kingofnyc :lolbron: what you think of this?

Don't set that man up for failure, what will he argue?that Biggie had a positive influence on the culture:mjlol:?

He helped usher in the shiny suit era,Kendrick helped usher in a era of wokeness, conscienceness, pride in heritage.

Biggie was the conselation prize, and product of the east coast need to win after Nas flopped. Kendrick meanwhile did what Nas couldn't do,and is everthing Nas was supposed to be:wow:

Biggie was a more talented emcee though. But the musical respect Kendrick gets from peers, icons, and musicians from other genres speaks volumes.

We talked about this,Pac gets the utomost respect musically,Biggie gets utmost respect for lyricism. Kendrick gets both respect from great musicians and great lyricist.

And before one of you bring up "quotables",did any Biggie verse ever stop time like Kendricks "Control" verse?no,so respect Kendrick as a rapper too.

Like I said, "old school" on the "urban" station here gets ONE HOUR (by request),
and the only other "urban" station is old school R&B.
We've had an "old school" station in Chicago for like a year, play rap and r&b up to like 2005 all the time.

movies?maybe a good episode of Empire.Kendrick has phsycological depth to alot of his shyt. Alot of those songs you mentioned don't,and didn't have authenticity. Sounds like he may have heard a Scarface album and wanted to incorporate the suicidal rapper bit into his work.

This has story telling, this is real life music. Kendrick will more than likely go down in that Bob Marley,Marvin Gaye stratosphere with his substance. You can't compare music that has physcology behind it that makes you think, with mindless gun bars and coke rhetoric. This is what seperates Jay-Z from Biggie to me,Biggie is a level behind. Biggie is a real talent as an emcee, you won't outshine him in a cypher. But as a musician he is not better or more important than Kendrick, there are alot of people who can give you witty, and hard lines, and better wordplay than Biggie. But musically Kendrick is something else, and just think its not Dr Dre behind him doing this.Biggie had Puffy to mentor him and handle producer duties.

This is why I can’t stand Kendrick stans & why I think the most die hard Kendrick stans gotta be white.

Hip hop isn’t just conscious rap & no Kendrick ain’t bigger than Biggie to black people. Period.

Hip hop isn’t just conscious rap & no Kendrick ain’t bigger than Biggie to black people. Period.

Who said it was,and who said he was, that doesn't have anything to do with who shifted the culture. Gangsta rap was already big, more specefically west coast sample based rap was already huge at the moment, and Biggie piggybacked off that, suicidal themes in hiphop also were already a thing. So I'm telling you he didn't shift the culture because what he was doing, was already being done and was the most popular style and sound at the time.. Kendrick bought cultural pride back, had Beyonce repping the black panthers all of a sudden, had Jay dropping 4:44. Had T.I dropping us,Meek Mills last album touched on pro black themes. Kendrick was a leader in that regard hands down. And sound wise plenty of people have said TPAB influenced them, remember how the Chronic did?obviously not on the level of the Chronic, but I'm pointing out he did that without Dre. Biggie died and gave Puffy a launch pad to actually change the game sound wise and content wise more than he did himself:scust:

alot of hiphop fans are young or spiritually dead and thats why he may not be bigger to black people. But Kendrick did what no conscience rapper before him has been able to. Which is blow up,be arguably THE guy in hiphop, and not sacrifice his integrity. Thats all I meant with my Nas statement, and that is documented. Not that I think he is better than Nas personally,I've never really thought to compare the two musically by breakdown so I can't say. I would rather hear Nas rap though in his prime,in terms of who will put on a clinic lyrically.
