Diet gets you to the weight you want while exercise makes you feel and look good at that size.

That's why some heavy people can be in good physical condition (heart rate, BP etc) but not look it because they exercise regularly and eat "ok" but cheat enough to keep them from really dropping lbs.

Then the skinny fat folks which tend to go under the radar. Very common especially with women and tall/lanky brehs.

And also delete this mindset of "burning off calories"

No you can't. Unless you're planning to burn it off literally right after eating that shyt is getting stored as fat. There's no delete button for trash eating. Focus on diet and results will come. That's it.
Facts. I train religiously like a motherfukker but eat like shyt.

As a result I only look slightly above average.

If my diet was in check like it was in 2019 - I’m built like a Greek god.

Diet is key, idc how hard you train. How many reps you do, much weight you lift.

NOTHING outworks a bad diet.

No, skinny fat is people who starve themselves. No one is advocating putting yourself in starvation mode.

You need to find your TDEE (how many calories you burn normally) and cut calories.

That is the ONLY answer. If you want to lose fat, aka your gut.

You need to eat less calories than you burn. You do this by eating less calories than you burn.

If you want to mildly speed up that process, start walking more and avoiding idle time like sitting around.

Look up a calorie calculator. Doing weird shyt like strict dieting or removing food groups will only make you undereat and relapse at some point - resulting in you eating more calories and becoming fatter.

I do advised people who don’t have much time, to at least walk 2/3 miles a week and eating better and especially eliminating the worst foods u eat all the time

for me it’s French fries and limit my bread intake

Especially at his age. He's probably more fit now than he was 35 years ago. That's diet but also having the time to do whatever he wants. If I didn't have to work a regular job and had many millions....roll out of bed, play video games for a couple of hours and then go workout for 2 hrs doing whatever. Come back to a kale/strawberry smoothie and then have chef prepare some kind of healthy azz dinner.

exactly, lotta “big” dudes with heart rates in the “athlete” / great range with higher body fat due to them having high amounts muscle and good cardio health.

hell when im 230lbs my waist is a 32, while there are dudes who are 160 wearing the same size
