Diet is by far the most important factor.

I fast for 72 hours at a time but if if I don't rein in my eating habits my gains slow down a lot.

When I went to the gym 4-5 times a week my body improved but not to the same extent fasting/dieting does.

diet is the fuel for the car lol. Ultimately this entire convo is idiotic because it boils down to goals

If thats what you want to believe go for it

You do realize that there are other benefits to working out right. Why limit yourself if you don't have to? You sound like you're just trying to find a reason to not exercise.

The point is, you'll get a lot of farther physically (and health wise) focusing on a great diet versus a great workout. Not saying you can't or shouldn't do both, but if you're going to do one- dieting is the one.

your point is dumb because it implies all goals = same.

Stop trying to argue like a lil bytch. The average person isn't trying to bodybuild. You wanna argue for the 4% of people that do, then make your own thread about that. Most people just want to look good. Dieting will help you look good more than anything else.

But everyone's definition of look good will be different. The average man doesn't want to look like a bodybuilder but they also want to look like they can lift more than 50 lbs.

Per the lenny kravitz thread... You literally just need to control your diet and you will be in amazing shape.

And also delete this mindset of "burning off calories"

"I can eat 3 slices of cake, I just gotta burn it off later"

No you can't. Unless you're planning to burn it off literally right after eating that shyt is getting stored as fat. There's no delete button for trash eating. Focus on diet and results will come. That's it.

Working out is more of an extension of dieting.

Any advice beyond surface level doesn’t mean much until that is known or established. It happens on here all the time. Person X says this method works for them (which it very well might) but without knowing what they are trying to achieve, trying to implement that strategy is useless.

Diet is one thing but you need that steel or some form of resistence training to harden up your body so your not skinny fat.
You need both with a shyt diet workout is completely useless.

If you have good Genetics you can have a shyt diet and still have a pretty good physique. If your in the gym 4 - 5 times a week especially if you do intermittent fasting.
