Gotta admit I voted for the Dips before the battle. Boy was that embarrassing.

Also, Zeke is somebody pops. Let that sink in for a second.

Funny how this battle completely makes me question that whole Dipset "era".

When you get past the beats these nikkas really spit a whole bunch of nursery rhymes that grown men should be embarrassed by

Juelz and Jimmy always had garbage nursery rhymes, they both took the worse L than Canibus with his rhyme book. Dipset songs were you always wait for the Cam part or check their less known members like JR Writer who can actually spit.

yeah and I mean it makes sense. Especially for the Lox, state property, etc. that flashy get money rap didn’t seem like anything Philly was into. I think peedi crack and Cassidy I even remember when meek mills was on this goon look…

not saying cats in Philly aren’t getting money because we know they are they just never seemed to be flashy like that. So I definitely see why the lox would be more popular and relatable.

cam, Jay, and fabulous are damn near who come to mind when I think about flashy east coast artist.

the dips always represented that flashy get money get girls thing…and the lox always represented that grimy rusty pistol music.

We like both. Street sh*t and Fly boy sh*t. Philly nikkas are like if you mixed the grimy/hood nikkas from Brooklyn, the get money attitude from Harlem and the shiesty nikkas from Queens :pachaha:

Lox are healthy, Juelz is too far gone and Jones literally fell off the stage walking. Cam is past his prime, he couldn’t save that.

the hot takes on their music is trash. Juelz spit lazy sometimes but cam brought lyrics and whoever wrote for jim at different times was good.

This dumb bozo - the ghost of Stacks B and spirit of Max B pushed his ass from the bing right off the stage. That’s that you get for not paying homage, certified snitch. Playing a Max b song without acknowledging Max B, instant karma

Dipset was a moment in time, it just didn’t age well. But when they were hot, it was very few crews touching them. I’m saying that and I was never a fan of them but I saw the movement. The Lox has longevity and hella hits and features. Most of their staying power came from straight BARS. No gimmicks just bars. Dipset was more popular for their swag than bars. Bars always win in the long run

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKLLLLLYYYYYNNNN
Word? :picard: I thought Santana made things worse for Dipset. A few moments really stand out.

  • He forgot the hook to Welcome to New York City. Imagine being on a legendary song dedicated to New York prevailing after 9/11, with only FOUR bars to memorize, and you can't even do it.
  • He told Jada that they didn't have any lady-friendly records, which set up the alley oop for 6 back to back joints from The Lox, and allowed Jada to hit him with the "we got Grammy's and ya'll got grams" line.
  • He got his bandana taken off his head and thrown on the floor by Jada
  • He didn't even rap any of the words on S.A.N.T.A.N.A. He basically just stood there and let the song play while Freaky danced to it. Jim Jones rhymed more words from Juelz's single than Juelz did.
I'm sure there were more moments, but Juelz was embarrassing and looked like he didn't wanna be there.
