I been listening since 2001. I bought What the Game’s Been Missing back in 2005. I’m an OG DipSet fan and Juelz is the personification of style over substance. He was nice SOMETIMES and very weak at other times. I present to you this garbage :russ: Styles or Jada don’t have weak ass songs like this in their singles catalogue.

^Nah that wasn't no damn Juelz. That was after he tasted commercial crossover success and was trying to keep it going by making his style more digestible for the masses. He never recovered from that,or maybe he it was choosing drugs over his craft:francis:

And you say style over substance as if style means nothing? Styles had substance but he was a poor mans version of substance when you compare him to the Jadas and Beans of similar ilk. He lacked the style and the substance department in comparison. Meanwhile young Juelz Santanna had no comparison:wow:. Styles was so predictable stylistically and actually content wise for much of his career.

"I do it for the nikkas(fill in a harsh environment ,ie a "corner in negative temperatures" "A prison that's hotter than the typical prison",)

"Im in the hood with(fill in the type of felons that sound worst than the typical felons ie "predicate felons", "Ancient felons" "asexual felons")

He switched up and lengthened his career by expanding into the more pro black content last I was really checking for him. But stylistically he never reached anything eye popping like Juelz that immediately grabbed your ear.

That’s the issue. You see the songs you posted. Hardly anyone outside of up north really head it…The lox were especially outside of jada were more regional…I legit would hear the dips on Midwest, southern, west coast, and up north tracks.

I was heavy into the east coast mixtape scene in the early 2000's to 2010's ,and I bought Styles first album and always checked for him on the tapes. But I never ever thought he was anywhere close to Jada though. I'd put him closer to Cam and Juelz. I do agree with what your saying though, the typical out of towner is going to need some style, some delivery to go with that substance and bars. I would put myself in that same boat too actually. I probably favored acts that had the style, voice, delivery over the cats in that era who may have been more technical

Gotta admit I voted for the Dips before the battle. Boy was that embarrassing.

Also, Zeke is somebody pops. Let that sink in for a second.

Funny how this battle completely makes me question that whole Dipset "era".

When you get past the beats these nikkas really spit a whole bunch of nursery rhymes that grown men should be embarrassed by
We been telling yall for years but the color pink had yall blinded :mjlol:
