Acting like Dipset never had good music just cuz they were trash in this performance....

I agree it may be a little harsh, but you can't be surprised.

This was the most embarrassing performance from a legendary group in hip-hop history. On top of that, it's a group that has always been divisive in terms of people that call them overrated, etc. People are definitely going to hold this performance against them. And it's understandable to be honest. Especially with how much shyt Dipset was popping on social media leading up to this.

That's how the internet is. It'll pass and blow over to some extent, and a lot of this is fun and games, but this event definitely hurt Dipset's legacy (if only just a little bit).

On a serious note man I never knew Elz was this fiendt out like... you hear the stories, Cam said it years ago, the teeth and all that right... but I think this was the first time I looked at Santana and thought to myself "wow my guy is Wayne levels of sloppy rn"

Jim and Cam still look and sound decent, they commanded all the Dipset highlights last night. Elz was just.... a shell. Really sad

I’ll diagree about sheet. And Cam is a tier below jada. But styles is a beast also….problem is I am separating technical rapping from ability to make a song….Dipset and it’s members made better songs.

Sheek is underrated. He couldn’t cross over commercially because he didn’t have the appeal of Jada, or Cam, Jim Jones and Juelz (and that’s why the Dips lost as Cam, Jimmy and Juelz experienced commercial success but 2/3rds of the group can barely rap). On a purely rapping level, I can say Sheek is better than the lesser guys in Dipset like Jim or Juelz. I heard some Dipset songs when Jim just ruined the song with his weak bars or Juelz was saying nonsense. For example, imagine 2002 era Jim trying to spit on this song Juelz could hang because it’s a song for the ladies though but he would get exposed on the street songs the Lox did.

this is all facts....But Cam spits and Juelz spit or spat....Jim well thats a different thing...But no I can admit in a group battle lox is the better group and jada is the best rapper....But if I had to make up a best of CD back in the day and sale it. I think I would make more money off of the dips.

North, South, East, West all messed with the Dips....Lox was moreso in the east and Jada gets his props but even he didn't hit like that coast to coast.

Word? I thought Santana made things worse for Dipset. A few moments really stand out.

• He forgot the hook to Welcome to New York City. Imagine being on a legendary song dedicated to New York prevailing after 9/11, with only FOUR bars to memorize, and you can't even do it.
• He told Jada that they didn't have any lady-friendly records, which set up the alley oop for 6 back to back joints from The Lox, and allowed Jada to hit him with the "we got Grammy's and ya'll got grams" line.
• He got his bandana taken off his head and thrown on the floor by Jada
• He didn't even rap any of the words on S.A.N.T.A.N.A. He basically just stood there and let the song play while Freaky danced to it. Jim Jones rhymed more words from Juelz's single than Juelz did.

I'm sure there were more moments, but Juelz was embarrassing and looked like he didn't wanna be there.

Maybe in a time machine back to 2005. But in 2021? I think G-Unit would have even less on-stage chemistry than Dipset did last night. I mean at least Dipset is on speaking terms. Imagine the work it would take to even get all of G-Unit even in the same room together. It would be a hot mess on stage.

Plus, The Lox is coming off so much momentum, not only from the win last night, but in terms of performing together and recoding together consistently over all these years, and as recently as last year. G-Unit's chemistry was noticeably weaker when they reunited 6 or 7 years ago with Kidd Kidd.

The magic with G-Unit has been long gone and it ain't coming back.

And you know Banks' album this year I absolutely loved. Banks selling out Sony Music Hall is a big deal for sure, but that doesn't mean a lot in these Versuz battles. Banks doesn't have the same stage presence, charisma, or ability to move the crowd as Jadakiss does.
