Didn't he sign a 2 year 50 million contract last year? So that means he opted out and took less? I'm sure he gets paid under the table but damn

There's no reason to do this either when the results of him taking less money have been Chandler Parsons, Harrison Barnes, and Wesley Matthews :scust:

I'm all about players doing what they want to do. If you want to take less when you're worth more in order to help ownership field a better team, than by all means, go ahead. I mean, I wouldn't do that shyt, but we all different.

But this type of shyt doesn't help their fellow NBA players. The facts are, they should be getting paid more, especially the top tier stars. So taking less than your market value is not good for the players union.

People like David West dont matter as much, but what Durant just did was huge. I'm sure the heads of the players union ain't happy about that. Dirk ain't in his prime, but he can command much more, and I'm sure the players union would want him too. Look what Kobe did. That nikka was not fukking around. He milked these nikkas for every penny and didn't give a fukk about none of that shyt people was talking about. And just looking at it from a players union perspective, that's what you supposed to do.

Dirk will have a lifetime contract with the Mavs after he retires anyway, it's not that big of a deal.

lol yall love saying these kind of things when it comes to players taking less

oh, the endorsements off the court will make it up....oh i'm sure he will get a nice cushy job in the org after he retires? oh the investment opportunities available to him in X location will be blah blah blah

you know whats a lot better than mythical future money? real money in hand that you can use to generate real income....
