I'm so confused by these cherry-picking arguments.

If Dirk could win a ring by himself, then what the fukk was he doing losing early and often the other 20 years of his career?

The man went to two finals and three WC finals in his career. This is when the Lakers/Spurs were monsters.

Bums like CP3 and Carmelo that get crazy love on the coli would BEG for a career like that. Try to put things in perspective.

Point blank, Dirk didn't win a ring "by himself".

And yet just one year before in 2010, Kidd was chosen for the West All-Star team over Tony Parker, finished 3rd in the NBA in threes and 4th in the NBA in assists.

Don't act like Kidd was washed. He was still the perfect team leader, the most experienced guy on the court and 10x better than anyone the Heat had at the PG.

Chandler was All-NBA and the Defensive Player of the Year the very next year.

Dirk was a top-5 MVP candidate.

Terry coming off 6th-Man of the Year and averaged damn near 20ppg against the Lakers/Thunder/Heat that year.

Marion, Peja, Stevenson, Barea all solid vets who knew exactly what to do on both ends of the court.

Jason Kidd was 37

Caron Bulter got hurt in January of that year and was out for the rest of the season.

Peja Stojakovic played zero minutes in both the Western Conference Finals and the NBA Finals
