You're getting mixed up between guys having roles in the company, or being someone Vince sees as a star.

What Diamond Dave reported is that Vince doesn't like NXT cause he doesn't see many money-drawing stars. Now does that mean they can't have a 10-year career in a Billy Gunn role? Of course not, but it means that they aren't gonna come up and get that hands on Vince rocket push treatment.

true, but... how many of these hand picked stars become stars. Only ones that have ever panned out is Rocky and Brocky.

I dont think Vince feels that way. You dont know who he has his eye on. Hell... I dont know either. But to think he goes down to the PC for a visit. See's 150 guys training and says to himself, all these guys suck! Is just not logical at all.

Who has come up from NXT and been put in a top position? Rollins was only in NXT a few months. Ambrose and Reigns don't count as NXT guys. Owens is doing OK, but most of the "NXT guys" have come up and not done shyt.

People need to realize that, ironic as it sounds, Vince McMahon has NEVER been a big fan of wrestling. He's a fan of machismo. He's a fan of fukkery and old school carny shows. He's a fan of big muscled men flexing on stage. He's a fan of money, but not at the expense of the other things. And the actual wrestling? He can take it or leave it.

Vince's real passion was the World Bodybuilding Federation, and when that failed, he just turned the wrestling federation into the WBF. He was owner and CEO and put himself on commentary to control everything, and he never even bothered learning the names of the wrestling moves.

So yeah, NXT is basically the opposite of everything he's always loved about the business.
