My dude he absolutely is a legend. Wrestling is fake. If I was in the hood and asked one of my hood nikkas do they know DX, Road Dogg and Bad Ass Billy Gunn they will say "yeah those my nikkas!" And do the crotch chop.

If I ask if they know Daniel Bryan they gonna be like "Who?"

Did I say he was one of the best performers in the ring? Nah... I don't even believe in work rate and all that shyt personally. But he is one of the most iconic things from people's childhoods and a legend in his own right. Not debatable really.

Busy Bee is a Hip Hop legend, can you name any memorable Busy Bee lines? Nah... But he was there and he was epic in his era. That's a legend. That's Road Dogg. fukkin Mark.
Your analogy makes no sense because if they dont know Daniel Bryan, then they arent wrestling fans. If they arent wrestling fans then who they remember has no bearing on anything, let alone determining legend status.

If you take a bunch of 40-something non hip hop fans and ask em if they remember MC Hammer or Vanilla Ice, they'll all say yes. Ask about Kendrick Lamar and you'll get a lot of "who?" So that means Van Winkle is a Hip Hop legend, right? Because some people that arent even fans know him more than the actual respected icons of the industry that have come since? Nah. And thats the same shyt you just typed out in defense of Road Dogg.

Cokeboy outta touch like a mug. Now the time is ripe for Wrestling Underground to make a push for the #1 spot. No excuses, they can do it. And we can help them.

Vince McMahon has NEVER been a big fan of wrestling.
AS A KID GROWING UP IN A TRAILER PARK WITH A SERIES OF ABUSIVE STEPFATHERS, HE WATCHED WRESTLING ALL THE TIME AND WAS INSPIRED BY THESE MEN WHO COULD USE THEIR WILL TO DETERMINE THEIR OWN DESTINY, BROTHER! AND THAT'S A SHOOT WITHIN A WORK, DUDE!

Hayes is part of the down south drawing Fabulous Freedbirds. They were big in the south in the kayfabe era but not as big as the Road Warriors of course.

man all these nikkas just clowns in a circus.

My question is how the fukk is Don Muraco, Ernie Ladd, Tito Santana considered legends, but none of them had the longevity or fame or Kayfabe accolades of Road Dogg.

They was all at his level and lower. But they r considered legends because of what they meant to their time.

This persona keeps getting more and more meta, p great

New Age Outlaws played just as big a part as anyone aside from Rock, Foley, Austin, & Taker during that period

Right, I can get almost any dude from my age group to finish the NAO's intro anytime I break into it, but half of those cats could give two shyts about Cesaro's work-rate, so I'm not gonna bring it up. It was only after I became a wrestling fan later as an adult that I learned RD had two self-professed offensive moves, with one of them being "hot tag to Mr. Ass," but (especially) because in hindsight their gimmick is so fukking ridiculous and hilarious, it's something I'll associate with the product of wrasslin no matter how many dab hits i take.

I mean, without nostalgia playing a critical role this becomes a lot of scantily clad men in better shape than us rolling around in a ring, you know?

I think everyone saw this coming. They need Vince to retire soon and hand over the reins.
Not gonna ask you how....:lolbron:

Gotta let these dudes cook. Its not all about the Main Event, Main Belt etc. There is a whole team. You can be a great contributor at any level. So to say Vince doesnt see anything in these guys is asinine. It's different levels of money in all these guys.

People really put to much stock into fake belts and ring times and shyt. Thats like going to the circus and saying "yo this Lion Tamer is really good he needs a push, why is the Elephant going on Last!?!" I always looked at wrestling like a play or a opera. Its all ONE big Main Event, different slots and attractions. Flippy shyt, Brawling, Titties, Tall Guys, Comedy Guys, etc. It's all just parts to a machine. Vince knows that.

Theyre performers and they all can find a comfortable spot. And make different levels of cash for the company. Vince eating off Naomi's T shirt as well as Cena's. It's all cash in the pot. You never know who that break out superstar will be. He knows that. He might be out of touch and stubborn. But that nikka aint stupid. He knows hes gonna need new wrestlers. Thats common sense.

Every wrestler tweaked and evolved. Cena says he was a few weeks away from being fired before he changed his gimmick and got hot. So that potential argument is kinda off.

Road Dogg is legend. He started as The Roadie. Became one of the most popular wrestlers in wrestlings hottest era.

Billy Gun was Rockabilly... managed by the Honky Tonk Man.

Kane was the fake Diesel. I could go on and on with these examples.

How long were Jeff and Matt Hardy jobbers?!?! They tweaked, and they evolved. Thats the nature of the business.

Owens never recovered after those Cena losses. He debuted beating him clean but then became just another chickenshyt heel. He has no credibility.

Yea... people dont feel the same way about Owen now like they did when he first arrived.

I think one of the big mistakes the E booking makes in giving the fans the mindset that a loss is being "BURIED" and once you're buried, you're damaged goods. Next they dont handle the characters properly.

Thats a great thing LU have done with they guys, just cuz you lose dont mean you're garbage or buried, they dont have to start from square one and no one loses they steam.

The E has so many average and sub average guys thats supposed to be these big "STARS" its crazy. No wonder every Mania year they look for Taker, Rock, and one of they chosen Golden boys, a celebrity, and the hype of the location be the focus of the show because of how badly they use their roster.

Road Dogg had entire stadiums shouting along to the NAO intro for YEARS. They opened half the Attitude era PPVs with that shyt because they knew what a banker it was.

The Trips'-led DX (the superior DX:manny:) wouldn't have lasted nearly as long without RD.

:heh: I believe this is a plan to make the fans enjoy NXT even more.

Wouldn't surprise me tbh. NXT is obviously treated as a product for the Smarks - we'll only love it more if we think it's pissing Vince off and I'm sure he's not upset by sold out tours and merch. They're most likely all working the absolute shyt out of us.
