Do you find luxury apartments to be worth the money or do you mind going for a non luxury place but have the cleanliness and creativity to make it look nice?

For example I don’t see the need for me to pay for a movie theatre, mini golf or gym set to justify paying 3K - 4.5K for a 1 bedroom (im in NY so luxury prices might vary in your city)

I only care about laundry being in the building or being in the unit.

Opinions?
What price point you talking?

It's only luxury if it comes with a 24 hour doorman/security, a full health club/pool and secured parking (that is NOT shared with the public).

Outside of that it's only an address thing mayne.

Laundry in building? Just pay a service to pick it up and do it for you, then drop it back off.

Very rarely worth it.

Soon as I moved in my apartment I told them to keep the upgrades (new appliances, cabinets, door knobs, chandeliers, etc ) and just keep the price as is and not the new upgrade price.

I’m still paying under market rent due to that.

that's what the market wants, if an apartment still has those dated wood interiors people won't buy it. Modernity isn't the same as luxury though, yet people treat it as such.
