They need to delay that shyt and launch as a new generation console so it can have its own exclusives. Not having any exclusives and launching at a premium price is stupid imo.

Honestly I can pay for the new Xbox just off the current cash back I have on my Amex BCP alone as long as it cost under $450. I paid for most of the PS4 Pro off the cash back on my Discover It and paid the rest by selling my old PS4 on Craigslist. When the Switch comes out I'll cash out the cash back on my Chase Freedom and it'll only cost me $150 out of pocket so that's a current version of all 3 systems and I'll have paid a total of $150 out of my pocket mostly due to money I already spent.
Doesn't make me an idiot at all. Also if I sell my current Xbox One that $150 turns to nothing out of pocket.

People like you are why the game industry is turning into what it is. The major companies have no incentive of making systems that are real upgrades like they used to. Mainly because they know idiots like you will buy whatever they feed you even when it is almost LITERALLY the same thing you already bought from them.

I don't know why Xbox fanboys are so excited, I clearly stated in the past that Xbox Scorpio was not a Xbox upgrade of Xbox One. But entirely a new Console because Xbox One failed.
Now I will pop the bubble again, Xbox Scorpio will indeed play Xbox One games, but Xbox One or Xbox One s won't be able to play Xbox Scorpio games or Xbox Scorpio VR headset. So the factor is that Sony made a upgrade system because Ps4 Pro and Ps4 both support as a upgrade because it is more unified, but Xbox One fan's will get the bad news when they find out that Xbox One won't play Xbox Scorpio and the Xbox One brand is R.I.P .. so basically you got a Xbox One S that will be DOA but your new Console will play the games.. meanwhile Sony didn't force the next Gen console war's ...so Ps5 will be more powerful then Scorpio also because in chess they didn't rush the system and force themself in a Nintendo bind.
You could never say Ps4 Pro failed because it's a PS4 beefed up.. but Xbox Scorpio is a new Console that plays the old games.. which can fail? I think the real losers is the people who purchased the Xbox One S this year? lol

But it'll keep the entire game libraryy and be substantially more future proof than any current system.
This generation is still a battle. MSFT has been taking Ls but if you are want competition to make sure Sony doesn't get too comfortable with their success and if, you're a MSFT fan, you want the company to try to correct their mistakes...
This move is a good look.
Clearly, they need to get in the lab on exclusives but this is not a bad move at all.

If the Scorpio actually does crush the buildings on the console tech side...Will people take back their criticisms... Or will they ignore their miscalculation and just try to shyt on the "game library" part...

How can u be future proof with a Microsoft Gaming console when they will clearly abandon the console if they lose again, they abandoned OG Xbox... and now Xbox One will get the same treatment but you won't say its abandoned because your old games play in your new Xbox Scorpio ...but try to play Scorpio GAMES on Xbox One or the Scorpio VR games on one and
Meanwhile PS4 VR plays on PS4 PRO and PS4 and Pro games play on Ps4..because its a upgrade and not a forced console reboot..
I always feel like this argument about power between the two consoles to be sort of disingenuous at times. The Xbox One launched at the same time as the PS4 3 years ago costing $100 more and being weaker. Once the price lowered and they started removing the Kinect and then the One S came out, the critiques about power and stuff subsided a bit because it wasn't this expensive Larrybox that was more expensive. If you mean people talking about the percentage difference, well that's another thing. On paper 50% more powerful was a big talking point but in real world settings a lot of folks said it wasn't that big of a difference. Since then, some games on XB1 looked great while some still trailed behind PS4 still to this day in terms of resolution to just keep it simple. Fast forward today and now we have 4K TVs becoming more antiquated and as a owner of a 4K TV, gaming PC and a PS4 Pro, the diminishing returns for resolutions post 1440P are true.
It's not that big of a difference imo. Image quality looks very similar/damn near the same for most of the games I've tried. I've tried GTA V in 4K, MGSV, Witcher 3 all in 4K on PC and it looks glorious. I then tried UC4 on PS4 Pro in 1440P and it looks pretty much the same. I tried Ratchet and Clank and it looks retarded. TLOU's 1800P mode and 4K mode look identical(barring the FPS difference.)
All this to say it's nice but 1800P or checkerboard 1800p and native 4K's difference isn't as big as 720P and 1080P. 1080P to 4K?? Yeah big difference. 1800P to 4K? 1900P???(The Last Guardian is damn near 4K), nah man we just splitting hairs now. I'm not saying 4K isn't better or w/e I'm just saying don't complain if a Scorpio game isn't native 4K as it really doesn't make that much of a difference.
The argument about game library still holds imo because it's just irrefutable that Sony has more 1st party games out/coming out the pipeline in comparison. That's a fact. This isn't a opinion about what 1st party titles you like/dislike, what games flopped etc. In terms of sheer number of exclusives that came out/coming out it's no argument to be made here.
The Scorpio coming out doesn't change this; it'll just be the Xbox One with much better hardware but the games library argument still would hold and the Scorpio doesn't change that. I personally feel like people putting so much hope on the Scorpio in terms of a comeback to be misguided. The Xbox's problem wasn't hardware obviously as when the price was down and they had good bundles it sold relatively well in the US at least. There's no "battle" no more, the Xbox One WW has allegedly sold 26 million LTD units since launch worldwide. Compare that to PS4's 53.4 million consoles: There's no coming back in this generation. Improve the Xbox brand for the loyal fans, take this idea onto next gen and call it a day. I have no idea where people see MSFT "coming back". Maybe coming back in what they deliver for their own personal wants but on a "Sony vs MS" real world impact in terms of units nah.

This Gen is clearly won by Sony and Nintendo tapped out with a new Console and Microsoft lied and told you all Xbox Scorpio was a 4K Xbox One ...when its a new system as well.. and Xbox S is your Xbox One 1.5 upgrade which you all was to dumb to notice that was the real half ass upgrade LOL
