A 1070 is over the TFLOPS on this New Xbox and the MSRP is $379. Microsoft is ordering this stuff in bulk they'll get the cost down to $399.

Considering that Spencer already said it will be a "premium" machine, I don't see 399$ breh. Just don't see it.

Why wouldn't you buy a Scorpio if your biggest reason for buying a pro was a graphical one 80 percent of the year you'll be playing multi plat games. p's and k's are so important to you (like it was for the ps pro) then picking this up should be a no brainer.

Truth. consoles win if they have the most and the best games regardless of hardware.

PS1 > Saturn,N64

PS2 > Xbox, Dreamcast

Game boy >>>>>>>>> Game Gear

DS > PSP

PS4 > XB1, Scorpio, Wii U

The only exception was the Wii.

And don't let the specs fool you. No games are running at 4K. They barely have ports on PC that are 1080 at 60fps.

In the paper, Microsoft makes a series of recommendations on how to get the most out of the system as a developer, offering up techniques like checkerboard rendering and half-resolution rendering as ways to make games more efficient without also making them look terrible. Digital Foundry notes that these are similar to techniques already in use on the PlayStation 4 Pro, meaning that they’re proven to work and look good. A frame-rate upscaling technique suggested by Microsoft tells Digital Foundry that it’s likely the Xbox Scorpio is using the same CPU, albeit at a higher clock speed.

Microsoft is moving towards games for Windows aka Games for Xbox. Xbox is on windows.
Windows is PC, PC is ready to make that 4K splurge. 4K games are becoming the norm, and Direct X 12 is leading the charge in that. Which is what Xbox and most PC's are based off of So when it comes to Xbox One/Scorpio games? Any game already on PC will easily transfer to X.Scorp or X1 via whatever techniques are neccesary depending on which system you rocking with

But to clear, this is speculation based on what we now know about new Radeon features open to Microsoft. The whitepaper we've seen - dated to just after Scorpio's E3 reveal - only confirms no ESRAM, boosted L2 cache and support for memory compression technology. Beyond that, all we have to go on is Microsoft's stated 320GB/s bandwidth, eight CPU cores - plus a motherboard rendering strongly suggesting 12GB of GDDR5 memory. How the final spec will shape up remains to be seen, but from the whitepaper details to the Vega enhancements available to Microsoft, we should be a seeing a highly capable 4K contender.

There is no spec leak, and no real info worth talking about. DF just wanted some clicks.
