You can tell some people are very young in here. When X first blew up, it was actually ridiculous, his music literally ruled the streets. It's funny some people call Budden and Kendrick geniuses for using a concept...they borrowed from X and his version is by far the best.

I dont put IDAHIH on the "championship" level. It's a great album and for what its represents bringing that gritty music during all the hip pop jiggy bullshyt i'd call it classic..but its not anywhere near the mount rushmore of rap albums.. I'd call it the GRODT of its day. These days I really only care to re-listen to 3 or 4 songs. from it (all the singles but stop being greedy and MAYBE nikkaz dont started something).

when Dark dropped, he wasn't nearly as lyrical as he used to be, but he was still a good rhymer, and he was making classic songs, with a lot of real emotion, important content, that related to people more than any artist in the last 15 years.

DMX is definitely in my top 10. Personally, I think It's Dark and Hell is Hot is the only perfect hip-hop album ever made. A close 2nd would be Illmatic.
