:dwillhuh::wow:

Life is too short to get caught up in some dumb shyt
Wake up one day, 40 years old on some bum shyt
Time flew by, you was too fly to see the light
Everyday it's getting darker then comes the night
Now what? (what) realize that you ain't got shyt (uh)
Not long ago you was the man on some hot shyt
So just peep the flow yo, cause you already in this
Make sure your shyt is right kid and handle your business (uh huh)

I really can't sympathize with dude. Here is a guy that made millions of dollars and blew it. Doesn't even matter how he blew it, it's gone. He's irrelevant in the rap game, so even touring won't help much.

One thing that makes it even worse - rappers don't have that loyal fanbases like other genres do. For instance - groups like Rolling Stones could start a tour and they would be sold out. shyt, even a cracked out Whitney Houston (RIP) could still attract the masses, that is until they saw that she lost her voice. Rap - make one or two average albums and you're gone. Rappers have a much shorter career life-span, some manage to make a transition to become successful actors, but the majority of them become irrelevant.

IT has nothing to so with him being a rapper, other genres seem I do fine.
It's the fact that rap attracts a lot of ignorant nikkas, with no education, no stability in their family, no parents that could teach them, wack friends etc..
I mean mothefukkers go from selling crack on the corner to making commercial deals with multi millionaires and extremely smart highly educated dukes in just a year.

Which rock and RnB acts from the late 80s/ early 90s are still putting on?
Is it any difference from rap?

I don't know why people like to bring up Rolling Stones, The boss etc as if they define rock. It's essentially like saying you make billions while working in the automobile industry look at Ferdinand Porsche and his family.
The most prominent people in 60s rock delivered during a period where there was nothing except rock commercially. They basically founded commercial music.

We've got to look at the percentage and not the absolute value.
There's a whoooole lot more rock bands with deals than rappers with deals.
I don't even think I would be wrong for guessing that through times there's existed 1000 times more rock bands. So 10 of them still doing big tours would mean that 0.01 of rappers should still make big tours in 20 years.

But we people like Jay, Dre, Snoop, Em, Puff and more who are all in their 40s.

He got robbed, and his wife let a lot of things slip through the cracks in more than one occasion. Even Terrell Owens got screwed.

A lot of people get screwed if they don't manage their money. I really don't know what's so hard about depositing checks in a bank account. I don't need someone to have access to millions of my dollars to pay my monthly expenses.

I never said they define rock, but their fanbase is unlikely to call them wack after a bad album or two. People would still pay nice money to see them.

Which bands? Aerosmith, U2, RHCP, Metallica, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi, Green Day and plenty of other bands from 80s to 90s still eat off that touring money. Imagine a Guns N Roses reunion, people would run to get them tickets. I'm not talking clubs, I'm talking venues. Now compare that to a Wu-Tang reunion and tell me if the outcome would be exactly the same.

Now you tell me who wants to go see Afrika Bambataa or Public Enemy to pack a stadium?

My point is that the entire mentality of rap fans is wrong. Sorry to say, but it's a culture that's dependent on trends and a rap artist can't rely on old fame as much as artists in other genres can.
