Let's be real, white America, which is you, cares more about Chicago's gun violence than you do about Jay z song.that's why Chicago is on the news often. There's a difference between pr and real life.

The fukk? White America doesn't give a blue fukk about the violence in Chicago or black issues period. They just use Chicago as the scapegoat city for the whole "black on black" crime narrative that the media loves so much. Plus since Obama is from Chicago, it's also a way to shyt on him in a secondhand way.

So when trap/drill artists talk about gunplay, it's damaging to the community and contributes to black-on-black crime, but when Nas or Jay or Cube or another legend does it, it's classic music. Aight.

It's weird, I think that Trap/Drill music is revolutionary, not only does it display the results of the suffocation of the black minority, but it also blatantly rebels against the laws and ideals of white Americans.

Yet, some posters on here talk shyt about it. I think Chief Keef is more of a voice to be heard than Mos Def. I think Gucci is more relatable to me than Jay-Z. Yet people are in denial.

No, black people discourage the listening of such music, because they don't wanna be seen as "one of them" to whites, and as "the ones who give blacks a bad name" to other blacks.

To keep it 100, blacks just avoid that shyt...just cause it gives them some false moral high horse to sit on.

Same people who discourage the listening of trap/drill music.... probably sat there asses in theaters and thought wolf of Wall Street was amazing, and saw no issue with the legendary levels of drug use, misogyny, and overall fukkery/immorality

:mjlol:

people still making these kind of arguments in 2014 kill me

I agree to a point... nikkaz give naS a pass for shyt other rappers would get called a gangsta rapper for like when naS made nikkaz back flip and stabbed a bytch like the phantom, somehow he's going through a NY mindstate and its lyrical. But rappers like Jay and Cube catch heat for it.

But nah, this drill music is c00n music, but the beats go hard :mjpls:

dis question sounds retarded
its the other way around
white people listen to the drill stuff cuz they scared of black people
hoping if they run into a black person and spit some rhymes from a drill artist den black folks a leave em alone.

white people only worried bout the killings and shyt in the streets
everytime someone die, the artist get more shine

Well there are some people who strictly want "lyrical" rap and in their eyes these guys aren't it.
Doesn't have shyt to do with Cacs and how they view them.
I personally fukk with Drill music but that doesn't change the fact that it perpetuates negative stereotypes.

Those folks don't really check for trap/drill to begin with... if you're one of those lyrical, spiritual miracle types.... you already know you aint getting none of that with Trap or Drill music.

it's those "if we stop listening to Chief Keef and stop using the word nikka, black people will rise up and do better" people who are hell bent on discouraging listening to it.
