So when trap/drill artists talk about gunplay, it's damaging to the community and contributes to black-on-black crime, but when Nas or Jay or Cube or another legend does it, it's classic music. Aight.

They use the fact that these kids live the shyt they rap about, as some type of credence for why it's so harmful to the black community.... like LA gangsta rappers wasn't making shyt like this.... when the murder rate was 3-4x higher

I don't give a fukk about what CACs think about me and I've long since abandoned the notion that we as black people need to put on our best faces for white folks. Any reading of history makes it obvious that white supremacy is fueled by CACs being CACs, regardless of how "well-behaved" blacks are (Tulsa/Black Wall Street is Exhibit A). You comparing Wolf of Wall Street to Drill music is still a struggle argument though, breh. You can't just ignore the options available to a lot of the kids who are influenced by drill music. Hell, Bibby himself says the music influences the people out there. Drill music is not subversive of white supremacy in the least. I'd really like to hear a strong argument to the contrary.

If you agree that drill music influences the kids in Chicago, then what's your point, really? You said in your post that black people discourage listening to it for 3 reasons:

No, black people discourage the listening of such music, because 1. they don't wanna be seen as "one of them" to whites, and as 2. "the ones who give blacks a bad name" to other blacks.

3. To keep it 100, blacks just avoid that shyt...just cause it gives them some false moral high horse to sit on.

If you concede that drill music influences the kids in Chicago, then it stands to reason that you'd see why "conscious" black folks would discourage listening to it for reasons outside of the ones you listed above. Do you need to go back and revise your original argument?
