Without one another we wouldn't be here. So on a procreation level yes. Emotionally idk. After some self reflecting and honesty I have found that having a man romantically in my life has never actually improve the quality of it. And I see this in many people.
I don't think it is a reflection of men or women per se but more of the culture that we live in. It's hard to meet someone without at least one thing that will cause their partner some sort of stress/drama whether it be their insecurity, character, life situation, financial state etc. There are exceptions but in general what is out there is pretty low quality.
