Try posting your resume on USAJobs.com, Monster, Indeed, Zip Recruiter & Career Builder. Make sure it's available for anyone to view. You're going to get a lot of spam and scam job opportunities mixed in with real replies, so check your spam inbox regularly and don't send out any personal or bank account information to anyone who responds to you by email or phone.

Also you should be signed up with as many temp agencies as you can in your city and any city you can afford to commute to. A quick Google search will bring up a list. Temp agencies do a lot of temp to permanent position job placement and a lot of companies use them to screen potential hires. You may have to do some terrible assignments for a few months before they find you something permanent, but at least you'll be getting paid.

Lastly, make sure that if someone gets your resume and Googles your name they won't find reasons not to hire you. The hiring process on the employers end may not be as much of a priority as it is for you sitting at home waiting to hear back. Don't get discouraged. They could just be busy on their end and before you know it months have passed since they initially saw your application or resume. Make sure to follow up with a phone call or letter whenever you do actually speak with a real person.

i'm drinking coffee with my woman looking at this thread... :to:my coli brehs is hurting.

she read this shyt. she told me a story of how one of her friends got a job at kroger.

she said he (white male:mjpls:) applied there more than 5 times for 2 years but nothing. he said fuq it and walked up in there. but before that he knew someone there who knew the name of the *human resources manager. so he walked up in there not to look for the human resources manager but her name:jawalrus:. tricked her:troll:...

she came out like :usure:

and her broke down crying :sadcam:. he's worked there about a year now and about to be stepped out to be a department manager. he's just your typical cac. i've come close to whoopin his ass but he's good ppls.

she bought his story and dug his shyt up and hired him. he's been trying to get in there for over 2 years.

so my brehs don't think it's a race thing. white folks is hurting too. don't get into drugs and shyt.

with me i've never had problems getting jobs. my problem is i just couldn't hold on to the best of them cause i can't stand white folks talkin to me a certain way. especially when i've literally built them empires.

now i own my own shyt.

that mental enslavement just isn't healthy for me. i suffer from bawse syndrome.

I've put in so many for jobs I'm qualified for and have never heard back. It's fukked up, man. I need a job. :to:
applied for a job doing laundry at a uniform company...They had the position posted on the door, I walk in and return the app like I know I got this... Call to check on the app shorty tells me you should hear something in a couple weeks, after two weeks I call again ...she says I just sent a email to HR about you...you should hear something in a few days, that was two months ago..dont feel bad brehs I could understand if I walk in like :dwillhuh:"ya'll nikkas hiring?"

They want a nikka to resort to crime/drugs

I said this in the resume thread...

Copy and paste the job description into your resume at the end with invisible text.

It will hit the keywords and push you through.
:ohhh: I never thought about this I think this will wrm

Couple things (and the economy where I live was the shyttiest of the shyttiest so I know what I'm taking about) -

-Pay attention to the address on your resume. Many places use software to filter out resumes where the zip code is too far from the job's location. If you're applying for a job that isn't that close to where you live, you're probably better off using a friend/family member's address or leaving the address off altogehter

-Get a degree. Not even saying that you need a Bachelors degree, but I'd say that just having an associates from your local community college will give you a leg up. A lot of employers won't look at your resume if it doesn't have at least some type of degree

-Keywords are important. You won't know exactly what keywords employers may be looking for, but look at the job posting and try to integrate as many of the terms used in the posting into your resume as you can.

Any job worth a damn will take all of these into account. Don't submit the same damn resume for every job you run across.

I didn't know anyone at the last 3 companies I was hired at but because I have the experience and buzzwords down packed. And my name is unequivocally black. Maybe I filled a quota...:leon::mjpls:
