Eh, it depends. My mom babies my little brother more and will buy him anything he wants but she has a short temper with him and gets very annoyed by his attitude.

Yes, I'm the favorite and it's made me the narcissistic, self imploding, meddling person I am today.
I remember sneaking into my brothers room in the middle of the night and taking his bike. Never forget the rush of cold air on my face when I opened the front door and went joy riding. As she was waking up she smiled with the most love I've ever seen and said, "My favourite daughter... I love you more than anything."
Inside I cringed.
My siblings always said I was her favorite growing up, but I couldn't see any evidence of that.
Love for your child is a given, but liking your child is different.
Just as a person, as a woman, outside of being my mother, I really like the person my mother is. Maybe she likes me the same way too.

I also think people mistake lack of punishment for bad behavior to mean that they were more favored than their siblings that got punished. That's not what that means.
