Do we have any engineers here?

Here is a hack...
Go to local community college for under 10K to get an EE associate degree.
Get a full time job with that degree and then work on completing the next 2 years at some college.
Price tag will be 15 to 20K.

There is no EE associate degree. There's an Electrical engineer 'tech' degree. But no Electrical Engineer degree.

That’s my current option for getting an Electrical Engineering degree online. That’s excluding financial help, grants and etc.

I think the degree is good, you should look at some state universities though for the degree, you shouldn't be paying 76-90k for a undergrad degree

Job Outlook
Overall employment of electrical and electronics engineers is projected to grow 9 percent from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations.

About 19,000 openings for electrical and electronics engineers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.

You just need to be sure to take the required freshman classes that count towards the degree and will be accepted by your university.
If you go to a community college in the same state ask the people other which credits transfer.

Stop it. You have no clue.

Some companies will give you a job with just a 2 year EE degree. Just make sure to complete the extra 2 years for the better pay

I mean this is the nicest way possible. It would be a mistake for "you" to go into debt for a degree. Based on your posts here, you would most likely accrue that much debt and not have a degree to show for it. You sound like someone who would be better off pursuing a trade.

Damn. You said that like OP ain't shyt.

What engineering job are you getting with that? Entry level engineer roles require a bachelor's degree.

Does it have ABET accreditation?

You have been conditioned to think every entry level EE job requires a 4 year degree. It seems to me that's your problem...stop projecting it on others.

If he is good at this stuff and kills it in the interview....he'll get the job.
He just needs to finish the extra 2 years...which would cost him less.

Yeah, most traditional Engineering jobs require an ABET-accredited complete degree. Either as a hard requirement or a soft one (won’t pass filter/bias).

If for example a company has “Engineers” who don’t have a complete engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school and people die, they’re going to get sued to the ground.

ABET is the most important thing for an Engineer unless they graduated from a school like Caltech, M.I.T, etc.

There are no real traditional “engineering” jobs out there for someone halfway through a degree.

However, being in the middle of a degree program can open more doors.

It’s probably acceptable for a software-hybrid/embedded role not making something that can determine life and death in a circuit.
