It's easy for people without financial budgeting discipline to go broke. That applies to rich, middle and poor. A lot of people who call in the Suze Orman show are middle-class smart people. She has to dish out the truth to some of these people, don't buy expensive clothes that is out of your income range. Stop spending $5 a coffee every day. Don't constantly go on vacations or buy a car that prevent you from saving money.

how does this negate what I said?

all that tells me is that 'people go broke everyday, b.'

You what I think bold is nikkas think hey I play in my rec league avg 15 I could play in the league too. That's what it is they don't say shyt about inventors, ceo's, etc because they think and or know they can't do that shyt. When you can't something a lot of people have no problem with you getting paid for it but when it's something they feel they can do it leads to various negative comments from what I see.

basically.

I agree.

but let's keep in mind that you have to survive HS and 3 years of college football in order to get paid.

And your number assume you make a roster, and stay for the whole year. Alot of fringe guys get summer camp invites, get cut. Sign with a practice squad for a few weeks, get cut.

That "average" number is inflated by not counting all of the men that take years of punishment and never get a guaranteed year long deal.

:manny:

the top athletes aint doing school in hs or university, i remember being on the bball team at the school where andrew wiggins went to in the goat city of thornhill ontario :to:, i was always getting out of class early for games and practices, i was always allowed to hand in my assignments at a later date.

nikkas getting bogus credits, scholarships, easy ass teachers etc. while the rest of us are plowing through books etc.

even practice squad dudes are making 6 figures. at worse you come out wiht a communications degree or social studies degree and alums and boosters remember the good ol days and get you a great gig.

ol buddy garrity getting you a job at the dealership type ish

Beyond that, I'm not talking about "the sterss of school" I'm talking about 3-4 more years of high-level football taking a toll on your body BEFORE you get paid.

And the fact is, most of these guys that get camp invites and practice squad places DON'T end up with great jobs.

You or I? We'd pimp the free education and college stay like the W hotel. Free Food, no responsibilities, get that degree, invest in retirement early, befriend the valedictorian of the business school, give him seed money, probably end up billionaires. :leon:

But these guys aren't.

Also: I'm no longer sure what we're talking about.
