I feel more sorry for u dudes who live and breathe everything sports 24/7

This very forum is actually sports first and everything else 2nd, which is :snoop: to me

I'm just a casual watcher who probably watched about 5 NBA games total in 2013. If a game is on then I'll watch it but I'm not planning my day around the sh1t unless its the finals/World Series/An Interesting playoff matchup or the Superbowl or summin.

I just don't understand how u broke n1ggas can stomach watching these rich fuks dribble their nutts all over your lives 24/7

Boxing is one of the dangerous sports in the world and most of them aren't geting paid milions.

9 to 5 job>>>>>>>boxing. there is no guarantee you will make mayweather money, you don't start out making millions like other sports.

That 9-5 is a lot easier than being a professional athlete. Most people dont have the dedication to be a professional athlete, if they did then they wouldnt be stuck in that shytty 9-5 cant pay the bills situation.

A lot of them same cats who say athletes have it easy cant even be bothered to pick up a book or 2 and improve their own lives. Its a lot easier to do that than get to the NBA.

Edit- I meant easier not harder

This is truth.

People get blinded by their God-given talent (if most of us put in the same amount of work as, say, Kobe, we'd still never come close to seeing an NBA roster), but they don't realize for most athletes, the difference between peaking in high school and getting paid to perform is that hard work.

Also I think the reason athletes get more hate for 'easy' money than other entertainers (actors, singers, etc) is cuz athletes have been put on their pedestal since they are very young. There's a lot of envy built up over the years towards athletes.

:wtf:

Might be the worst post I seen in here in a minute, Baseball and Basketball players can completely half ass it the second they sign that big contract. There is nothing that can get them to perform if they don't want to, you could literally sign the contract and just shyt the bed after that. As long as you show up for practice and do what team officials tell you your on court field/court performance doesn't have to live up to that contract.

We just watched Andrew Bynum sit out the entire season, he got paid $16 million to do so. Tell your boss next week you're gonna take a couple months off and you may or may not return because another company wants you. Your ass will be replaced before you finish the sentence. Athletes, especially NBA/MLB players do have it easy, getting there is hard but once you're there it's all good. It's why we see the same free agents constantly recycled among teams.

I'd trade my job in a heartbeat to be the lowest paid man off the bench for the Bobcats, fukk that. He made $800,000 this year for 6 months worth of "work" :russ:

Listen. Most people do not give 100% in anything...The majority of people typing on their PCs from work are probably giving their job 50-60% percent effort at best...

Don't see why this shouldn't apply to athletes as well

i mean take a look at your own life. 80% of us probably hate our job. and from my own personal experience a job can make ur whole life a living hell. now lets think for a second, these cats are getting PAID to play a game.most of em have absolutely no idea what its like to go to a 9-5 let alone a 9-5 that they hate or work a nightshift job. have we really wrapped our heads around this b4?? i cringe when i see the words "feel sorry for" in the same sentence as a pro athlete. im not hating or anything cuz it takes hard work to even be the last man on the bench but its a real mindblowing thing to think about considering how many ppl outchea working 80+ hrs weekly and STILL living paycheck to paycheck
Already came to that conclusion a long time ago. :old:
I wish I were a pro athlete. I wish I started in sports earlier. I wish I knew better. :piss: Sometimes, I even think I wish I were a pro league referee. At least they are making bank too. I should have got my foot in the door at refereeing low-level leagues and hustling my butt off in zero-payoff referee jobs.

I play hockey for fun, as in recreational leagues like recreational basketball leagues. To know that they are getting paid over a million a year to play is their reality. To see athletes with huge contracts go bankrupt is a joke. To see athletes make stupid decisions and get arrested is a joke. Some know what they have. Others don't, and they get a reality check after the fact.
