I've had a couple instances where i'm having recreational discussion and getting to know (non-black) people and they would ask me if i read books 
and i can't help but feel like 
inside. Granted, that can be their hobby and they're trying to relate to me or express their interests, but i can't deny i feel like bangin on they fukn brains for askin such dumb shyt in the moment

But i proceed politely and tell them not as much anymore than i used to because i'd prefer to make music lately and ask them what they like to read and go from there and observe for any more
