The time when your mom lets you rent a PlayStation game but you didn't get to finish it in time because of it was due back. :to:
I remember grinding the OG Budokai 1 and being so enjoyed with it, I had to get moms to cop straight up

Blockbuster was a godly ass time in my life, and there being a Movie Gallery right across the street made it only better. Not sure how either stayed as busy as they did but those were simpler times

Bruh, we all remember that section. You needed to walk through that bead curtain at least one time in your life.
Kids growing up now will never get to experience that :mjcry:

Yep, a beaded curtain or those two swinging doors that you push open with both hands......people would be in there like :shaq: as they looke don the shelves.... sometimes you could find a movie that you new was kinda adult...but in the general section...shyt like Lady Chatterly and the Emanuelle series and others... :mjcry:

I still miss it.

Not necessarily Blockbuster in particular, but the video rental experience as a whole.

Unfortunately there are NO rental spots anywhere near me. My previous state had a few Family Videos in the area that I'd hit up with the wife and daughter.

Sucks cause I would like my daughter to experience it. Those nights of going to Blockbuster with your mom/dad and picking out a cool movie were just...magical as a wee lad.

:wow:

Cool movie? Cool games..i tried to rent Castlevania 2 every other week:laugh: And I was young so I had no idea that Street Fighter 2010 had nothing to do with the fighting game but they never had it. Ever. Hardest game to find on earth. Lol.

Pretty good game once you get it down but it took me forever to figure out how to beat the 1st level.

Not necessarily the store itself but the memories and experience. Friday night's after school renting Genesis games and later Saturn, N64 and PS 1 games and vhs movies and either spending the night at my friend's house or they spend the night my house. Eating Pizza Hut (when it was good) and spending the weekend trying to beat the game before returning it Monday.

Writing down tactics and shyt from the Final Fantasy 7 strategy guide before getting kicked out. :mjlol:

Just browsing the aisle and finding some gems that I ended up renting.

I generally buy dvd's and physical disc than download/stream because I'm old fashioned so I kinda of miss going to the store and trying to decide what I want to watch. Of course I don't think I could completely abandon Netflix, Hulu, and Prime and having the ability to watch whatever I want at any time.

I miss that particular time in my life and the ability to discover new titles I otherwise wouldnt have.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee Rented this game twice and just went on and bought it from the store
The Mark of Kri (criminally underrated)
Siphon Filter
Road Rash
Skitchin
General Chaos
DBZ Budokai 3
God of War 1( I faithfully watched Ign gameplay vids back then and was hooked before i ever played, Rented this twice)
WCW Vs the World (Considering the lack of truly great wrestling games before it, this shyt was flames for its time, I wouldnt touch that shyt ever again after WWF Warzone dropped lol)

That's why i love let's plays (without commentary) because i can know instantly if a game is something i want to cop or not.
