The only way we could hear black music in the early 80's was on your parents record player or Soul Train. They didn't play a lot of our videos at first but I appreciate how that time made me appreciate all kinds of music though. Looooot of dope music came out in the 80's.

Comedy was king, Movies didn't give AF back then! I miss the 80's!

I see I really don't have say much in here...

Born in '82. I remember the cartoons & toys were crazy. I use to watch He-Man, TMNT, Dennis the Menace, Gi-Joe, Thundercats, etc., Now that I look back on it, I had so many He-Man & TMNT toys it was crazy.

I stayed watching The Cosby Show, ALF, A Different World. I remember watching Superstars/Wrestling Challenge on Saturday/Sunday mornings. Michael Jackson was the GOAT, Nintendo/Artari have birth to the gaming culture we have now, had to use cassette tapes to play music.

Looking back... I don't miss Jeri curls and the fashion....

You couldnt fukk with the cartoons/toys combination. Metal Transformers toys, shyt ton of GI Joe stuff, M.A.S.K. (look it up...shyt was fire), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In fact, Cartoons were waaaaay better than any of the shyt you see now.

Nintendo changed everything.

Crack almost destroyed a generation of Black people. Me and my mom used to live in the PJ's, and looking back with adult eyes, I remember fiends hanging around the block and a bunch of my friends dads just not being seen again.

Back then....shyt just seemed darker...meanin horror movies seemed scarier...nighttimes seemed creepier, Halloweens etc. It was pre internet...so shyt seemed more unknown outside of what u actually knew...if that makes sense ...Maybe this was due to me still bein a kid tho
