Do y'all think higher food prices will lead to people getting healthier by consuming less?

No secret we live in a flabby-n-sick nation so I'll just get to the point.

Tyson Foods just had their earnings call and posted a beat, here is a major tidbet coming from the call:

"Tyson said the average price of beef rose by nearly 32%, lifting sales to $5 billion. Chicken prices rose 20% and pork prices gained 13%.

Beef sales volume fell 6.2%, the company said. Chicken volumes rose 3.6%, and pork volumes rose 0.2%."

So the question is, will people just eat these rising prices or will they look to consume less meat, find different ways to cook, eat less, eat takeout less, or go for foods with more efficient pricing (veggies/rice/etc) ? :jbhmm:

Given that most of the meat consumed today is just steroid-pumped BS anyway, maybe this will lead to a healthier nation or will people say fukk it and keep buying overpriced BS that killing them slowly anyway? :patrice:

Outta shape bruhs (no offense), how will y'all handle this? :jbhmm:

America is fat as hell. Mothafukkas only gonna get fatter. Don’t matter how much the food cost, people gonna find a way to be fat and unhealthy.

And since we on the subject, it’s a lot of fat mothafukkas on the coli. Like fat as fukk. Out of breath after walking more than a half of block fat. Then you add in the high percentage of nerds. So it’s a lot of fat nerds on here. Just some fat ass dweeb ass nikkas. But then, so many broke boy ass nikkas on here. Then you get to realizing, these some fat, nerdy ass broke nikkas. Goddam y’all took an L in life.

No.. a lot of people get their food because of food stamps .. that’s not going to stopped u walking into the store seeing carts still filled with 8 12packs of soda and chips

I saw a package of bacon yesterday at 8 dollars, that was like 3.99 last year

Would this not add up to make a massive dent in someone's food bill even with foodstamps ? I mean, Coca-Cola and Lays are raising prices too.

No. Health issues and flabby n sickness happens the most in poorer environments. All people will do is switch from eating fresh chicken, beef, fruits & vegetables to eating Dollar tree store steak-ums, 1 dollar microwaveable chicken sandwiches and 1 dollar fish sticks.
