They did an experiment on this, forget how long it lasted, it was like 2 weeks I think? most of the monkeys just hit the letter B over and over before pissing and shytting all over the keyboard.

How is this argument used by atheists though @Blackking ?

DNA code, human intelligence, complexities of the universe have all arrived here by chance and not because of some divine order or supernatural catalyst. I could go on and on all day, but I'm not going make these points on here, lol . There are other arguments as well..... but this one in particular was mentioned in The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy - so a lot of people get it from there.

If something is here and present.. and if something is possible, then it can happen without anything resembling a sky daddy making it happen just from the pressures of the universe and the random physical reactions that come from that. Currently we are uncertain whether the size of the Universe is finite or infinite... but on wiki if you look up universe it states that the universe is commonly defined as the totality of existence. Any limitations we put on that are probably due to our lack of understanding and limitations in observation.

There is even a BBC podcast called the infinite monkey cage that speaks about science n funny sh1t. It's a aight show with this dude http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/8330863/Brian-Cox-Im-not-anti-religion.-Im-anti-maniac.html

Oh, okay, I see. I just can't understand why a being that has the power to do anything would even need "laws" to make everything work.

I always just thought things are the way they are because they HAVE to be, otherwise we wouldn't even be here to question why/how the physical laws of the universe came to be.

It would be nice if we had other universes to compare this one to (laws of physics wise).

Makes you wonder if there are "failed" universes that had different physical laws that didn't allow for planets and stuff to form.

I don't like this theorem because it doesn't prove anything.

There is not such reasonable thing as infinity, so to give infinite monkeys infinite time means nothing. And what's it to assume a correlation between given time and probability to craft said masterpieces? Its only an assumption that there will be any type of convergence .

Just as likely as the monkey are to type shakespeare, they can produce nothing of any significant value, or just continue to throw shyt at each other. The science of probability and the limitlessness of infinity should never be mixed.

mnakes me wonder why you assume ours is the "success" ?
We may be the splash out the spaghetti sauce that was never intended to be or result of chance. On the requirement of laws...

we assume these "laws" were "codified" when really they may just be the way things happen. Let's say you tied a ball to a string then to a stick and spun the string so that as it spun the string rapped around the stick until it ultimately wound around the stick. Now let's say a tiny human on the ground was watching this process through a telescope. Do you suppose he would wonder why you created the laws that controlled the rotation of that ball around that stick? :manny:

The shyt we don't know is just mind boggling ain't it?

:whoa:
isn't that essentially what the universe is doing though?

I JUST DID SOME RESEARCH ON THIS AND IT IS INTERESTING. BISMILLAHIR RAHMENIR RAHEEM. THE UNIVERSE IS CREATED PERFECTLY BY THE CREATOR. WHEN YOU REFLECT UPON THE UNIVERSE, THERE IS NO WAY IT JUST RANDOMLY CAME ABOUT, HOWEVER IT REFLECTS INTELLIGENT DESIGN OF THE HIGHEST ORDER.

The creator made the universe imperfect actually and physics backs this up:smugfavre:

We may be any creed or color and blessed, fukk yo religion
