I'm dead serious. Since the past year or so after the election of DT I just consider myself a Black man in the USA. Meaning, I feel more connected to my Blackness and African people more so than the USA. I just acknowledge that I was born here, but won't ever be considered a real American. Hell, my own people don't even get treated like Americans. They call us terrorists and shyt (Assata Shakur).

Yes, I consider myself to be a American. I have zero connection to Africa personally outside of my ancestry. And as for not being considered a "real" American, their isn't a country/continent on earth where everyone is treated 100% the same.

Interestingly enough, whenever I lurk the asian american subreddit they think white people accept black people as more american than asians. I'm british so eh. America is the land of the thief, but it's kinda crazy not to have some sort of attachment to your home country.

If the question is what does one consider themselves I cant hep but to think of how we are in an era where if a man cuts off his weewee and takes estrogen and gets a boob job and "considers" himself a woman we are supposed to acknowledge him as a woman. But no mattee what he "considers " himself he's still a man. So one can consider themselves to not be American all they want but if u were born and raised here....Guess what..U American. Why? Because you have American ways. You might have been born in the ghetto of America...U still American. You are a Black American. And that something to be proud of because the Black American is unique. Thats why Black American culture is admired all over the world.
