Yes a large chunk of american culture is started and originated by us.

And if we keep it a buck American can be use to describe people from North,South, & Central America but we usually use it to refer to people of the US.

And I thought you said you don't get into discussing labels JJG? Lol you just say whatever comes to your mind huh breh.
I personally don't like labels, but this USA country is stuck on them. Also, I know American isn't the right term (I'm going by USA usage). Hell, Canadians and Mexicans can be considered American because they are in the North American continent.

:childplease: Y'all gotta stop with this

She was born in the South African

I'm sure she's an American citizen

Care to elaborate the issue with this line of thinking? My family are survivors of American slavery. I never the chance to be born on the African continent.

Don't get me wrong, I acknowledge that we have contributed a lot to this country. However, I feel more like a Black Gypsy that's just here than an American. I've cared more about Africana causes than American causes :yeshrug:

I remember u once saying u were going to get a food truck. I immediatly thought "So who's gonna be your food distributor?" You said you were going to find a Black food distributor. I LOL'd. I couldnt even ask after that "so what Black man is going to give u a license to apporove of u being able to sell food out of a truck?"

My dude....U just wanting that food truck is an "American cause".....Running a successful business is an "american staple." I dont even know what u mean by "African causes"...Africa has multiple countries and they aint all the same at all.....Most Africans I know are in America because they trying to utilize the resources they cant get in Africa. Russel Simmons once said being born in America is like winning the lotto because of the opportunities here. Those are the words of a multimillionare.

Yes, I consider myself to be a American. I have zero connection to Africa personally outside of my ancestry. And as for not being considered a "real" American, their isn't a country/continent on earth where everyone is treated 100% the same.

Yes I do and any AA nikka that doesn't has low self esteem, borderline clown status. Regardless of our relationship with cacs our ancestors built this shyt and most of us prolly been here longer than cacs.

Yep. Was born and raised here. As much as I complain, people catch hell in most of the world. Just because I don’t think it’s perfect, doesn’t mean I hate it. Are we the source of some of the hell being caught? Yep. But I’d rather be on this side.

:yeshrug:

I’m at work surfing the internet after eating Chipotle for lunch, while someone in Mexico, which isn’t far from me is struggling to do things that I take for granted.

Lets see.....

Africans arrived in Jamestown, VA in 1619. The Mayflower (Pilgrims) arrived in Plymouth, MA in 1620.

The entire southern economy flourished because of the labor of slaves.

AA slaves were the foundations of American capitalism.

Washington DC was designed by Benjamin Banneker. Slaves built the White House.

Wall Street was originally the site of a free black settlement. Before that, I believe it was the site of a slave auction.

Many of us have Native American ancestry, which gives us blood ties to this land before Europeans.

The only music and cuisine that is native to this country had sprung from black people.

The American Evangelical Christian movement has its roots in the way the slaves worshiped and interpreted the bible.

Our top educational institutions (Harvard, UVA, Georgetown) were funded by slave labor or the sale of slaves.

So..

Built this land + have blood ties to this land + defined the culture of this land = blacks being more American than anyone else.

Look at the bolded words. The square root of everything this country is known for is black.

And the deception of white folks is to make us feel as if we're anything other. And we fall for it...
Let me quote this shyt for all the dumb white worshipping idiots that's about to come in this thread.
