Do you feel like the Thunder’s historic season is getting enough attention?

They aren't marketable.

NBA fans get it. Casuals don't give a shyt. My girl watches NFL didn't even know OKC was good. I told her they're on pace for the best record ever she was :dwillhuh:

The crazy thing about last regular season and this is they’ve had the starting 5 available.

I see a lot of similarities with 2014-2016 Warriors so I won’t read too much with them struggling in the playoffs. They were young. They remind of how the 2016 Warriors were even more determined to prove everyone wrong after most people put an asterisk on their 2015 title. However, barring injuries I highly doubt anyone stops them.

I still feel they won’t top 73 wins, that’s just too insurmountable imo. I think 71 wins is realistic

Barring them just not giving a fukk, I can see it.

It ain't even the fact they are just winning, they are beatin the shyt outta nikkaz. :why:
They are so fukking deep injuries don't seem to matter

they got 3 players on the bench that could be leading scorers on other teams

Basically Chicago Bulls

Superstar MJ
Borderline all star Pippen

Surrounded by a bunch of good role players

Brehs know what they do

Dort play defense shoot open corner threes
They are build very similar to the early 90s bulls with Chet being an even better Horace Grant

Nobody gives a fukk about them Shai ain't a superstar and nobody gives a fucck about the other canadians and the white stick figure. Jordan was already iconic. Pippen, Rodman. Steph was must see TV. Shai is just a nikka who gets numbers . It's a bunch of nikkas who get numbers

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
1. it’s Oklahoma City. If the same players wore different jerseys, and played in a major market, the narrative would be different.

2. They are a young team.

3. Their best player is dominant but not flashy

4. OKC doesn’t have a real history. They relocated from Seattle, then lost all of their best players. OKC. They tried to build baby super teams and sign aging stars to stay afloat, but it didn’t work.

The irony is that the super team era has led to a cap structure that will prevent them from keeping that team together.

They are the least affected by the second apron and will probably remain dominate because OTHER teams have to deal with it more...

They also will probably have a top 5 draft pick in a loaded draft.

Bulls had the greatest player to ever play the game, fresh off retirement on a revenge tour to avenge a second round lol after winning 3 straight chips. Over half the kids in America were wearing Jordan shoes+jerseys. Also, the greatest rebounder the game has ever seen in his prime with a different hair color every night. They were rock stars

Warriors had the games greatest 3 point shooter who somehow elevated his game after winning a championship and was turning the NBA into NBA 2k on rookie mode. I seen people leave work early so they could go home and watch Steph in the middle of the season, never seen a player like him before. Shots being swished from half court 10 seconds into the offense. They also had a second Steph with Klay. Ball movement was legendary, perfectly played team ball

OKC might be both of those teams and maybe the greatest NBA team to ever take the court if a tournament could be held. Most of their bench players are starters on other teams, the entire bench not just the sixth man. Masteful build through the draft. They best player however....SGA is kinda like a dwade with some prime James harden thrown in. He's good, don't get me wrong, but he's not bringing a style of play we are unfamiliar with. Chet can shoot 3s as a seven footer but every team has that now. Jalen Williams is good but his game is basic. No one on the team stands out and nothing about them makes u want to watch a Wednesday night game when they play the trailblazers.

If anything the team is too stacked, it's not fun watching them beat everybody by 20 points every night after seeing them win a chip last yr. They got 100 first round draft picks so the talent is gonna continue to stack.

It's just not an exciting team, they dont play in an exciting market and the team is over stacked with young talent. Maybe around the all star break if they are 58-2
