Do you feel like the Thunder’s historic season is getting enough attention?

I think compared to the ‘16 Warriors the difference is

A) 72-10 hadn’t been legitimately challenged in like 20 years so there was excitement for it. Must shorter turnaround now and since the Warriors didn’t win the title I think more ppl are apathetic about regular season win totals in general.

B) While the numbers are up there, SGA is nowhere near as box office as Steph. Arena would be damn near packed just with people coming to watch him warmup. He legitimately transcended the sport. SGA has nowhere near that pull.

C) The Warriors were also on a bit of a revenge tour after people spent the offseason discrediting their title win, calling it a fluke, they only won bc of injuries.

D) Even though the Warriors were dominating, them winning a title didn’t feel as inevitable as OKC’s is. Cleveland, San Antonio & OKC were all seen as viable opponents. OKC now seem closer to the ‘17 Warriors where it feels like the only thing that can stop them from a title is health

All of this. Plus it's literally been years that teams, fans and media have been talking about the RS as basically irrelevant. There's a whole lot of people even here who say they don't watch games before Xmas, the ASG or the playoffs.

There's a certain athleticism and/or size you need to be able to compete with OKC. The only team's I'd give a puncher's chance are Denver, Houston and San Antonio.
Mavs with Luka always had Okc number

They just matched up well with them

Shai is a Canadian and a family man

If he was out there dropping f bombs in interviews covered head to neck in tattoos

You don’t even have to take it that far. If Shai and this roster played for the Knicks, Shai would be as box office as 2016 Steph.

Mind you, opening night Thunder/Rockets was the most watched opening night game since 2010. Thunder/Wolves was the most watched Thanksgiving game since 2019.

We’re old nyggas so we’re not tapped into how popular Shai already is in social media with kids.

What’s missing is OKC is not a big market, so they’re not gonna come out the woodworks to take over opposing fans arenas like Knicks, Boston, and Chicago fans would with a 24-1 record.

You know shyt is bad when people are defending Grayson Allen over you. Cats dislike OKC for real.

You're adunce. You talking about ratings and then talking about kids. Kids ain't generating ratings. It's "old people" as you call them. If Shai played for the Knickerbockers noone would care. KAT, Stat, Jalen Brunson ain;t gain no more fans by coming to NY and neither would Shai.
