You need an option for her losing the primary.

A lot of her potential hangs on her establishing a brand/platform - and is Biden ends up being milquetoast, that’s going to linger on her, actually connecting with voters, and of the whole first female VP euphoria lasts for fours years. I still think she’s a weak candidate that just so has all the paper credentials needed and establishment blessing to be pushed to the forefront, but I hope she’s seriously challenged

If someone like Gretchen Whitmer or (depending on how Cov-Id goes in Cali) Gavin Newsome decides to run, she is fukked.

This is going to sound like blasphemy to some, but I think even someone like Katie Porter could give her trouble in a primary.

the black cat is my crown...
unless biden faces a serious health issue, he will run for reelection.... a party's best chance at retaining the presidency is always to run their incumbent..... now whether biden wins and completes a second term or not is up for debate, there is no way a healthy biden bows out of running in 2024....

She was a great qualified choice to be VP, but VP is her ceiling. She will lose to any Republican candidate in 2024. I don't think it would be close either. I've said before, the moderate or conservative white men who voted Biden will not vote for her.

I can see the civil war now between Kamala's people trying to push Biden out for 2024 so she can run and Biden supporters pushing back. If I'm Biden and the fight gets to be too much I'd replace her in the 2024 ticket with Big Gretch. He won't though because he's too nice.

Can’t quite put my finger on it but I just don’t see America voting for a female president in 2024.
if she takes the reins and is a strong, capable leader for a year, i can see it

theres a huge difference between "i am a good president" and "i would be a good president"

Welp, we already know who she'd be running against. :beli:

Trump to tell CPAC he is Republican 'presumptive 2024 nominee' – report

Donald Trump will reportedly tell the Conservative Political Action Conference in Florida this week he is Republicans’ “presumptive 2024 nominee” for president.

Trump will address CPAC on Sunday, his subject the future of the party he took over in the 2016 primary then led from the White House through four tumultuous years. On Monday, citing anonymous sources, the news site Axios reported his plan to assume the mantle of challenger to Joe Biden – or another Democrat, should the 78-year-old president decide not to run for a second term.

An unnamed “longtime adviser” was quoted as saying Trump’s speech to the rightwing event will be a “show of force” with the message: “I may not have Twitter or the Oval Office, but I’m still in charge.”

A named source, close adviser Jason Miller, said: “Trump effectively is the Republican party. The only chasm is between Beltway insiders and grass-roots Republicans around the country. When you attack President Trump, you’re attacking the Republican grass roots.”
Trump’s grip on his party is clear. New polling from Suffolk University and USA Today showed 46% of Trump voters would follow him if he formed his own party while 42% said his impeachment had strengthened their support. The same poll said 58% of Trump voters subscribed to an outright conspiracy theory: that the Capitol riot was “mostly a [leftwing] antifa-inspired attack that only involved a few Trump supporters”.

Moscow Mitch is contacting Russian sources asking for their best poison formulations at this point....

In answer to the OP....wouldn't it depend a ton on how the next four years go? Swing voters are heavily influenced by national events regardless of who the actual candidate is. The default is that if things are going well, Dem reelection is more likely, and if things are going poorly Dem reelection is less likely. Hard to calculate the odds when we don't even know how the country is going to go.

She has no chance against trump. If it's mike pence or someone with no personality like that sure she can win.
