i think shes an awful candidate, I know they wanted to pick a black woman but she got no votes, didnt even make it to iowa , warren, klobecuheur and mayo pete had more of a claim to VP, but Kamla was the epitome of the dem establishment type of candidate, neoliberal black/indian woman who will do their bidding but with a minority face. the problem was outside of wine moms on twitter nobody liked her. she had no traction with minorities other than white woman, if you consider them minorities for being women. they settled for biden cause they had no choice but if you thin of it, sankara and thomas frank both made the point. even though Biden is a moderate republican, he comes across as a regular guy, all his gaffes and shyt. thats why you had mad people like "my top two candidates are bernie and biden" which policy wise makes no sense. but personality wise it does. they both come across as regular, "middle class joe"

even though biden is a shill for the status quo, the reason obama and them didnt endorse him is even he wasnt elitist enough in demeanor for them. but accidently they fell into the correct choice (really bernie was ) but biden was 2nd at worst in mass appeal but they didnt even want to go with him.

kamala is like a hilary, epitome of what most voters now hate. shes not a regular enough of a person and for that reason I can easily see her losing. also wont help that the democrats wont do shyt. where the already reduced from the campaign checks at ? the min wage taken out of the stimulus deal. the student debt, i dont even think biden will cancel the 10k, cause what is he waiting for? he has the most clout right now to do it by executivve order. hes not gonna do it in like year 3 and risk being seen as "too radical" that will be the excuse, he will say he cant its not constitutonal or some crap and say try to pass it through the senate which no republicans will vote for

also the democrats whole show impeachment gave trump life, trump was done after the insurrection but now he "beat the case" of impeachment, which was a foregone conclusion and was stupid to do. even now theyre pushing for this dumb 9/11 style commission, it looks like theyre just gonna play up "trump bad" "q annon bad"for 4 years. and in that case, trump only beat biden by 42k total votes in 3 states as far as the EC goes. and thats after he completely botched covid and vs someone likeable like biden. trump could easily beat harris in 4 years

I don't think she has a chance.

-for some reason America thinks she's some communist leftist and her views are crazy to a lot of people (because we live in hell).

-biden seems like he can't resist his urge to go back to the center and not the FDR shyt he was talking leading up to the election. This will hang over her.

-is america really going to elect a black woman? I'm not sure I see it.

-like already mentioned, Joe's gonna run in 24

One things people aren’t factoring is voter suppression laws being passed now in states like Arizona and Georgia. We have to remember a lot of the states Biden won have Republican majorities in the state legislatures. So they will not allow the voting advantages that happens in 2020 happen again. Now Obama was able to beat this by being very charismatic and having a strong ground game. Kamala isn’t a charismatic orator like Obama. Clinton was charismatic as well as Jimmy Carter when he first ran. So the last few Democratic presidents that won were charismatic. The other thing is that the right wing hate machine is already slandering her like they did Hillary Clinton in the 90s.
If Kamala wants to win she will have to pick a popular progressive for VP that would energize the base. And she will need to adopt the same ground game Obama had in ‘08/‘12. With the electoral college the margins are very thin. However it’s too early to tell. So many wildcards can happen from now till 2024. Maybe Biden runs again which could guarantee a second term once the economy comes back on track. Or a major political scandal that the right leaps upon. Or a major geopolitical crisis that is handled right or handled very poorly. Lots of wildcards. 2020 taught us anything could happen. All I can say is we shall see.

She has one of the most progressive voting records yet she’s an establishment candidate? Did Jimmy Dore or Kyle Kulinski tell you to think that?

The problem is her time as CA AG/SF DA plus pivoting right during her campaign. She was all over the place, she couldn’t sell you on her positions one way or another because soon as she did in a debate or something she’d walk it back in a interview the next day. Her being wishy washy and sitting under what now seems to be a very moderate Biden - who does that appeal to? How does she then go sell her progressive record with no progressive wins to point to and no way to point to her 2020 bid to establish a history?

Based on what metrics ? I don’t care what cnn or msnbc told you . I remember they tried saying she was the most progressive senator which is a joke , we all know she’s not to the left of Bernie or warren

The way mainstream dems think , kamala could be against single payer or free education but if she voted for trans people to play women’s sports she’s “ progressive “ real progressive to lock up parents for kids truancy

Starting to think Biden will run again. Too early to tell, if they pass stimulus, vaccinate large portion of the population, start reopening things, pass student loan forgiveness, I think either Biden or Kamala wins.

Tbh, no one does. I'm not sure why we even have these discussions until she actually does something noteworthy to suggest we want her to lead the country.

She's VP for the oldest president yet :yeshrug: she's in the discussion by virtue of her position IMO

I think she was put in to VP because she was a black woman just like Pence was put in because he was an evangelical and it balanced out the ticket.

I'm not sure anyone ever seriously entertained the idea of Pence being president. I think the same should go for Kamala.
